Video: MTV Half-Blood Prince Clip/TV Spot

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood PrinceDuring tonight’s MTV Movie Awards, Dan Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint presented a clip from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.  The clip is from the Pensieve scene with Harry Potter and Professor Dumbledore.

UPDATE: Also a new TV spot was shown during the awards in Canada. The quality is very low, but it’s the only one we have right now.

It looks like this video has been removed…as soon as we have a new one we’ll update this post! So keep checking back!

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be in theatres on July 15, 2009.

Half-Blood Prince Countdown

Rod Hunt Cast as Death Eater

Harry Potter and the Deathly HallowsActor Rod Hunt has been cast as Death Eater Thorfinn Rowle in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. You can see his profile on his agency’s site here.

Rowle is in the book during one of Harry’s Voldemort flashes in which Voldemort tortures Rowle because he failed to capture Harry.  Rowle is also in the final Hogwarts battle and in London when Harry, Ron, and Hermione arrive there after Bill and Fleur’s wedding.

The two parts of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be released in theatres on November 19, 2010 and July 15, 2011.

ABC Family Harry Potter Weekend and HBP Previews

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood PrinceWe had previously told you that this weekend ABC Family would be showing some of the Harry Potter films this weekend and that they would also include some shots of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.  According to TLC, so far the previews they have shown are from previous trailers (similar to this one) or clips we’ve seen before. If anything new shows up, we’ll make sure to let you know!

DH Swinley Forest Filming Begins June 10; Photos

Harry Potter and the Deathly HallowsAccording to London Taxi Tour, filming for the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Swinley Forest set will begin on June 10th. Some new photos from the crew making the set are now online. They show more construction, cordoning off of the area, and some cranes. Their site states:

Here you can see 2 cranes, one is situated at the bottom of the hill and the other at the top. A zip wire links them both up together - allowing the camera team to film while they walk up (or down) the hill.

DH Casting Rumor: Toby Regbo As Teenage Dumbledore

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
The Leaky Cauldron has received an unconfirmed report that actor Toby Regbo received the role as a teenage Albus Dumbledore in Deathly Hallows. Also, there is a rumor that a young new actress Hebe Beardsall will portray the wizard’s sister Ariana Dumbledore.

Please note that this casting report is unconfirmed by Warner Bros. and should be regarded as a rumor.

Video Today

Wizarding World of Harry PotterI’ve posted more of our videos from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter celebrations.  This time we have Warwick Davis conducting the Hogwarts Chorus to Something Wicked this way Comes.  There’s John Williams conducting the Orlando Philharmonic Symphony.  The cast show up in the Knight Bus and the Ford Anglia to help open up Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with some magic and a lot of fireworks!  We also have more of the interviews from the press conference with the cast.  Check back tomorrow for videos and photos from the public grand opening of the Wizarding World!
