Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince received four nominations for Spike TV’s 2009 Scream Awards. The categories are Best Fantasy Movie, Best Actor in a Fantasy Movie or TV Show (Dan Radcliffe who is going up against fellow Potter actor Robert Pattinson), Best Actress in a Fantasy Movie or TV Show (Emma Watson), and The Holy Sh*t! Scene of the Year (The Death Eaters Attack London).
UPDATE: Okay, the original list I saw had only four awards for Harry Potter, however, I’ve now found out there are nine. The other awards are for Evanna Lynch for Best Supporting Actress, Rupert Grint for Best Supporting Actor, Helena Bonham Carter as Best Villain, and Half-Blood Prince as Best Sequel. (Thanks, Angela!)
The awards ceremony, which will take place at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, will be shown on Spike TV on Saturday, October 17, at 10PM.
