Harry Potter: The Exhibition Goes to Ontario

Harry Potter: The ExhibitionWarner Bros have just informed us that Harry Potter: The Exhibition is moving to the Ontario Science Centre in Canada beginning April 9, 2010.

The exhibit will be 14,000 square foot (1,300 square metre) and includes artifacts with detailed settings inspired by the film sets, including the Great Hall, Hagrid’s hut, the Gryffindor common room, and more. The exhibition will also include costumes and props from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows once production is complete.

“We are thrilled to be opening Harry Potter: The Exhibition in Canada to give fans the opportunity to experience all of the incredible components of this magical world brought to life,” said Karen McTier, Executive Vice President, Domestic Licensing and Worldwide Marketing, Warner Bros. Consumer Products. “The Ontario Science Centre is a wonderful venue that will showcase perfectly Harry’s world for fans of all ages to enjoy.”

The exhibit will open April 9, 2010 and end on August 22, 2010.  Tickets are now available online at OntarioScienceCentre.ca, in person at the Science Centre, or by calling the box office at 416-696-1000.  Admission to Harry Potter: The Exhibition, which includes general admission to the museum’s exhibition halls, is $27.50 for adults; $23.50 for seniors and youth (ages 65+ and 13-17); $20.00 for children (ages 4-12); and for Ontario Science Centre members admission is $14 for adults; $12 for seniors and youth; and $10 for children.

Warner Bros have released eight new Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 TV spot videos on their official YouTube site.  The videos include closer looks at Xeno Lovegood, Nagini, Mundungus Fletcher and the Seven Potters scene (including a half-dressed Harry Potter in a bra), Dobby, Harry and Hagrid on the motorcycle, Fred and George Weasley, Hermione, George catching Ginny and Harry kissing, Dumbledore’s ghost in Grimmauld Place, the Dementors, Snape, Ron, Voldemort, Gryffindor Sword…well, as you can see, these videos contain MUCH more than you’ve previously seen. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 will be released on November 19, 2010 and Part 2 will be released on July 15, 2011.
