Tom Felton, known for his role as “Draco Malfoy” in the Harry Potter films spoke to The Times about the important people in his life. Here is a brief excerpt:
My mum
In no way was she one of those mothers pushing me to act. In fact, I don’t think she wanted me to become an actor at all, which makes the sacrifices she made to get me here even more amazing.
I have been acting since I was 9, but at that age you can’t go up to London on your own or agree to anything independently, so she was always with me. At one point I got a part that required filming in Malaysia for four months, so she had to give up her job to come with me. It didn’t mean anything to me at the time, but I hope that in years to come I can repay her.
My one and only girlfriend
Jade is my soulmate and I get on with her better than anyone else. We fell in love on the set of Half-Blood Prince [she was the stunt co-ordinator’s assistant] and have just celebrated our 21-month anniversary. I sent her a box of goodies at work: Elemis skin products, Molton Brown bath stuff and other things she likes, which is always a winner. I have quite an extensive knowledge of beauty products now. . .
