According to a brief post by People magazine, Robert Pattinson will appear this evening on Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief which begins at 8:00pm EST on most of the US major networks like ABC-TV and NBC-TV. The actor who portrayed “Cedric Diggory” in the Harry Potter films will be “manning the phones” with other stars like Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts, and Nicole Kidman.
The event will be hosted by Wyclef Jean in New York, George Clooney in Los Angeles, and Anderson Cooper from CNN in Haiti. Mr. Clooney and MTV networks collaborated on the event with the producers.
According to another People‘s article on the telethon, the proceeds will be split evenly between The Clinton Bush Haiti Fund, United Nations World Food Programme, Oxfam America, Partners in Health, The Red Cross, UNICEF and the Yele Haiti Foundation.
