MTV spoke with Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) who was filming his new movie The Apparition in Berlin, Germany. Spoiler Alert!
The topic of filming the epilogue for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was discussed. According to the video, Felton has not received any confirmation on how they plan to film his character “Draco Malfoy” along with Harry Potter, Ginny Weasley, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger at King’s Cross Station 19 years after the final battle at Hogwarts. But the article quoted him to have said that he does know the assistant director Jamie Christopher wanted the epilogue to be the last scene shot:
“Jamie Christopher, the first [assistant director], was always really keen to do that as the final scene, because it’s such a poignant moment for the franchise, that fact that it’s 19 years on, and we get to see what happened to the characters,” said Felton, who plays blond baddie Draco Malfoy. “I confess we haven’t shot that yet, but we are all extremely excited to do so.”
So, there is an unconfirmed belief that Felton and his fellow Harry Potter stars may portray their characters in the epilogue with similar aging technology that was used in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. For Felton was also quoted to have said:
“Daniel and I have been talking about it for ages, and we are excited to see what we look like 19 years later…We want to make sure that it’s flattering and we don’t look like 60-year-olds.”
According to the article, Felton is not too worried if they use Jason Isaacs’ look as Draco’s father “Lucius Malfoy” for a model on how Draco Malfoy would appear in his late thirties:
“Jason Isaacs is a very good model,” Felton said. “He’s a very good-looking guy for his age.”
