We previously reported that Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) informed her fans on Facebook and Twitter that she is in New York this week to do promotional work for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. During her visit, Watson took the time to get a stylish haircut.

UPDATE: On her Twitter and Facebook pages, Watson confirmed it is true that she has cut her hair. Here is what she posted on Facebook:
Emma Watson Dear all. Cut my hair off a few days ago… Feels incredible. I love it. I’ve wanted to do this for years and years; it’s the most liberating thing ever. Hope you like. Big love from Emma x
