Happy Holidays HPP Fans!

Posted by Dijares On December - 25 - 2010

All of us here would like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

As a little gift to you, I’d like to let you know that most of our videos are now back on our YouTube account.  You may or may not have noticed that nearly all of our videos showed as deleted by user.  Well, I did not delete them.  Unfortunately someone hacked into my account and deleted every single one of them.  After calling Google, in which I was told there was no customer service, filling out the form I was told to fill out numerous times, and still receiving absolutely no help from them, today I spent most of the day trying to reload what I could find.  Unfortunately I’m still missing about 15-20 of them.  But I’m happy, at least, that I could repost what I could find.

Have a wonderful rest of the day!

Video: Gambon In Doctor Who: A Christmas Carol

Posted by Lilysowl On December - 25 - 2010

As the Harry Potter and Doctor Who fans in the UK already know, Michael Gambon (Professor Dumbledore) is in this year’s Doctor Who Christmas Special.  BBC America posted a synopsis of the episode:

Amy and Rory are trapped on a crashing space liner, and the only way The Doctor can rescue them is to save the soul of a lonely old miser, in a festive edition of the time-travelling adventure, written by Steven Moffat. But is Kazran Sardick, the richest man in Sardicktown, beyond redemption? And what is lurking in the fogs of Christmas Eve?

Matt and Karen return for an all-new Christmas special, along with Arthur Darvill and guest stars Michael Gambon(Harry Potter) and Katherine Jenkins.

Lead Writer and Executive Producer, Steven Moffat, confirmed, ‘Oh, we’re going for broke with this one. It’s all your favorite Christmas movies at once, in an hour, with monsters. And the Doctor. And a honeymoon. And … oh, you’ll see. I’ve honestly never been so excited about writing anything!

BBC America scheduled the episode to air tonight at 9pm EST.  Check your local listings for confirmation.

IGN posted a video of Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Emma Watson (Hermione Granger), and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) commenting on their favorite Christmas movies.  Now, I’m not going to spoil the Christmas surprise and type what they are.  However, Rupert’s choices are an “interesting” selection for the holiday.  And if you read our post here about their Christmas traditions, then you would most likely know one of the films Emma chose. :)

Trio Talk Christmas Traditions

Posted by Dijares On December - 23 - 2010

Dan Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint recently talked about what traditions they have for Christmas.  Emma’s is pretty traditional with some movie watching with the family.  She also talks about her other home at Brown University. Rupert hangs out with his big family, and Dan also stays with his family.

“We have a proper log wood fire in my living room that really gets me in the Christmas mood,” “Harry Potter” star Emma Watson said in our chat in London. “And we have mince pies. That’s a very English thing. If you’ve never tried one, mince pies are absolutely delicious. You must have a mince pie.”

Emma added: “We always watch really good Christmas-y films by Richard Curtis like ‘Love Actually,’ ‘Bridget Jones’ and ‘Notting Hill’ or old BBC dramas like ‘Pride and Prejudice.’ I always play Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby’s Christmas album which is great … I curl up with my cats. I’m a cat person.”

“My life is so chaotic and mad, so everything in my apartment is white,” she explained. After the holidays, she goes back to her studies at Brown University and in her dorm where “everything is blue and other calm colors.”

Rupert Grint confessed that he’s a serial shopping procrastinator: “I usually do the shopping at the last minute.” Otherwise, Rupert claims that it’s a pretty conventional Christmas in the Grint household. “We usually have a routine and we’ve stuck to that for the whole of my life,” said the carrot-haired actor who told us they have miniature pet animals at home. “I have a massive family. We just stay at home. It’s good to get everyone together. It’s a good time.”

In contrast, Daniel Radcliffe has a smaller gathering. “The whole family—it’s only a small group of us, really—get together and that’s it,” said the actor who’s doing musical theater on Broadway next year. “I’m always at home for Christmas. My only holiday wish this time is that England goes to Australia and win The Ashes (a cricket series). I’ll be staying up late quite a lot more to hopefully watch them win.”
