This week’s Potter Bolt includes updates on Alan Rickman (Snape), Katie Leung (Cho Chang), Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy), and more award nominations.
Jason Isaacs is starring in a new TV show called Awake that starts March 1st on NBC. He portrays a detective who was in a car accident and experiences two different realities afterward. US viewers can see the pilot episode online here.
The 2012 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards nominations were announced and four of them are Harry Potter-related. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pat 2 received a nomination for Favorite Movie. Dan Radcliffe was nominated for Favorite Movie Actor, Emma Watson received a nomination for Favorite Movie Actress, and the Harry Potter series was nominated for Favorite Book. The awards ceremony, which will be hosted by Will Smith, takes place Saturday, March 31. Make sure to go vote for your favorite here!
Katie Leung took a chance at the stage by taking her debut in the spotlight last night starring in the play Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China. The play, which is adapted from Alexandra Wood’s book, is takings place at the American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Alan Rickman’s stint on Broadway in Seminar will come to an end April 1st. If you’ll recall, Rickman started the role at the end of last year. He’ll be replaced by Jeff Goldblum.
