BBC News has reported the names of people who are on the Queens Birthday Honour List, which is an extra honor this year in the UK since this is the year of the Queens Diamond Jubilee. One of the names on the list is Kenneth Branagh who will now be known Sir Kenneth Branagh, as well as being recognized by Harry Potter fans as “Professor Gilderoy Lockhart” in the film Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Also, he is known for his work in theater as an actor and director, particularly in the Shakespearean plays.
Recently, he has branched out into directing more films such as Marvel’s Thor and is currently working on a Jack Clancy film.
In a brief video interview for BBC News, the actor/director admitted he felt “humble, elated, and incredibly lucky” to receive such an honor in the year of the Queens Diamond Jubilee.
