Just like her young co-stars in the Harry Potter films, Maggie Smith, who portrayed Professor Minerva McGonagall, has been keeping busy with a variety of acting roles since the completion of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. One of them has been the recurring role of The Dowager Countess of Downton Abbey in the popular PBS mini-series Downton Abbey.
To promote the television release of Season 3 here in the States on January 7, 2013, PBS has posted a sneak peek clip of Maggie Smith with Shirley Maclaine in a scene from the first episode. Even in 30 seconds, Dame Maggie Smith still knows how to steal a scene!
