A demo for Harry Potter for Kinect is now available for download on Xbox Live. This game, which is based on all eight Harry Potter films, will allow you to join the trio during a journey through Hogwarts and beyond. Harry Potter for Kinect lets fans use the Kinect body and voice controls to cast spells, interact with professors and students, play Quidditch, battle Death Eaters and more. Once a player masters all their witch or wizard skills, they can then play other opponents during competitive mini-games, or join forces with family and friends in co-op gameplay.
You can see the trailer for the game below. We also have screenshots in our gallery, along with the box art, here.
The demo includes samples of three mini-games:
- Quidditch Match Seeker, where players must control a flying broomstick while dodging opponents and catching the Golden Snitch during a Quidditch match
- Journey to the Lestrange Vault, where players navigate a cart through the underground caverns of Gringotts bank to reach the vault that houses the Lestrange fortune
- Destroy the Bridge, where the player battles Death Eaters while trying to make their way safely across the exploding Hogwarts bridge
The game is available October 9, 2012. You can pre-order it in our Amazon store here.
