As nice it is to see the Harry Potter trio (Dan Radcliffe as “Harry”, Rupert Grint as “Ron” and Emma Watson as “Hermione) move on in their careers with projects like The Woman in Black, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and Cherrybomb, it is good to know the adult Harry Potter stars continue on with their careers as well, like Maggie Smith (Professor McGonagall) appearing in the popular series Downton Abbey.
And now, there is the online buzz and stories of John Hurt (Ollivander) appearing in the last five minutes of the season finale of Doctor Who with the words “Introducing John Hurt as The Doctor”.
We previously mentioned that David Tennant (Barty Crouch, Jr.) portrayed the Tenth Doctor and will be seen in a 50th anniversary special for Doctor Who. At the bottom of this post is a behind-the-scenes chat between him and the current, Eleventh Doctor portrayed by Matt Smith talking about playing the iconic television character.
But no one, except the series producer Stephen Moffat, of course, knows which “Doctor” Mr. Hurt will be. Will he be the Twelfth Doctor or one of The Doctor’s incarnates from the past? Not one bit of the answer will be revealed until November 23, 2013 which is the exact 50th birthday of Doctor Who.
