Carmen Ejogo as President Seraphina Picquery in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Fantastic Beasts Has Two Oscar Nominations!

Having already received five BAFTA nominations which includes one for Outstanding British Film, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them has been added to the list of Academy Award nominees for Best Costume Design by Colleen Atwood, Production Design by Stuart Craig with Set Decoration by Anna Pinnock.

Considering that she created Seraphina’s lovely MACUSA gown and headpiece, Graves’ majestic coat and Newt’s own dapper coat with the bow tie,  it’s natural that Ms. Atwood should receive a nomination along with her past accolades of BAFTA and Oscar awards and nominations.  Of course, there couldn’t be anyone other than Stuart Craig to design the wizarding world for the big screen!

We wish to congratulate all the nominees!  2016 has been quite a year for films!

The 89th Academy Awards ceremony will be presented at the Dolby Theatre at the Hollywood & Highland Center on Sunday, February 26, 2017.  Check your local listings for broadcasting times.
