Harry Potter’s Page & Crew

Harry Potter’s Page first came to the World Wide Web in December 2001. I made the site because I wanted more information and accurate news on Harry Potter. I also wanted some way to bring the wonderful world of Harry Potter to those who love the books as much as I did. Never having any experience with web design, graphics, or HTML, it was quite a challenge, but I was persistent and prevailed. The current layout that you see is the third. When the site was first online, it was developed with Microsoft FrontPage. I now use Adobe’s Dreamweaver. I use a lot of PHP scripting, and use CuteNews for my news posting system. For graphics, I use Adobe Photoshop and Fireworks.

This website should do well in any browser, but I suggest you get . If you’re using Internet Explorer, I suggest you are upgraded to at least version 7.0.

I hope you enjoy this site, and that it brings you the information and answers you seek on all things Harry Potter!

My name is Aragorn. I’m 19 and from the United States. I’m an extreme fan of the Potter series and often quizzes friends about random minuscule details within the series like, for example, the House into which Orla Quirke was sorted. I got into the series after reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, having initially given up on the series when Philosopher’s Stone bored me too much. That said, I, as of the 23rd of March, 2008, have read Philosopher’s Stone 16 times, Chamber of Secrets 28 times, Prisoner of Azkaban 12 times, Goblet of Fire 8 times, Order of the Phoenix 11 times, Half-Blood Prince 2 times, and Deathly Hallows 5 times. I have also made a screenplay for the seventh book and plan to become a professional screenwriter.

Like Dijares, I am an older fan of Harry Potter. I live in Florida with a friend and her family. We also live with three cats, a guinea pig, and a dog.
As “Lilysowl”, I enjoy flying through the internet to find news and information about the world of Harry Potter books and movies when the dog doesn’t need me to take him for a walk. I like the opportunity to use that information for the polls as well as newsposts.

I also enjoy using the internet as a virtual library for my other interests like theater and listening to old radio shows. Besides surfing the internet, I love using my computer to watch movies, especially old ones, and to write. My interests away from the computer are baking, listening to audiobooks as well as reading, and making cards with rubber stamps.

But I can’t believe I’ve been a newsposter for Harry Potter’s Page for almost two years now! Thanks, Dijares. I’ve had to resist crying on
her shoulder now that the Harry Potter films are coming to an end.
For we still have a lot of exciting news to post in the future like the Deathly Hallows premieres and promos as well as Daniel Radcliffe’s next venture on Broadway! Hopefully, we’ll still be around to post Emma Watson’s graduation from college! And of course, there is the opening of the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios!
