Alan Rickman - A Muse?
|
UK’s The Comet reported Giles Terera’s intention to produce his first film, Muse of Fire. The documentary will be a collection of interviews and conversations with well-known actors who will share their knowledge and passion for Shakespeare in order to create an on-screen resource for students. Alan Rickman, known to Harry Potter fans as “Professor Snape” in the film adaptations of JK Rowling’s books, is mentioned as one of the actors who will be interviewed for the documentary.
Muse of Fire is to be completed by early next year and will be made available for the BBC.
Since there is no official acknowledgment from Mr. Rickman, please consider this to be unconfirmed. |

Alan Rickman Begins Filming HBP Beginning of February

Alan Rickman, who portrays the notorious Professor Severus Snape, was recently interviewed while at the Sundance Film Festival, and was asked about Harry Potter and when he would begin filming Half-Blood Prince.
Okay, I think your wranglers are giving me the signal, but I have to say, even before I got to the end of the Harry Potter books —
Before you go any further, I never, ever talk about that character. Number one, because it's not fair on kids who haven't read to the end. And for me to say anything — there's a bit of it that just should be left innocent. It's real storytelling, what she's done, and I'm part of that. So I just never talk about it.
When do you go back to shoot Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince?
They're shooting six [now], and I start shooting my part of it beginning of February.
It's a bigger part for you this time.

Alan Rickman Signs on as Another Villain
|
Alan Rickman, who portrays Professor Snape in the Harry Potter films, has taken on another villain role. This time it is with Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. He will have the role of Judge Turpin. Production begins next month in London, and he will be starring with Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange in OOTP), and Sacha Baron Cohen. |
