Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
|
|
| |
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
is the sixth book in the Harry Potter
series. It was released July 16, 2005.
It has 30 chapters. The book jacket
has the following story line:
The war against Voldemort is not
going well: even Muggle governments
are noticing. Ron scans the obituary
pages of the Daily Prophet,
looking for familiar names. Dumbledore
is absent from Hogwarts for long stretches
of time, and the Order of the Phoenix
has already suffered losses.
And yet . . .
As in all wars, life goes on. Sixth-year
students learn to Apparate —
and lose a few eyebrows in the process.
The Weasley twins expand their business.
Teenagers flirt and fight and fall
in love. Classes are never straightforward,
though Harry receives some extraordinary
help from the mysterious Half-Blood
Prince.
So it’s the home front that
takes center stage in the multilayered
sixth installment of the story of
Harry Potter. Here at Hogwarts, Harry
will search for the full and complex
story of the boy who became Lord Voldemort
— and thereby find what may
be his only vulnerability.
Here is a list of the chapters:

Completion of Book 6 Revealed Two Years Ago Today
|
The completion of the sixth Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was announced to us exactly two years ago. The Room of Requirement opened on J. K. Rowling's website on December 20, 2005, to reveal a Christmas tree and presents. From there, we had to go through many different steps, answering riddles, and figuring out how to get the gift we all wanted - the news that the sixth book was complete!
Alas, so far, we have not received this gift for the seventh book, though many of us hold out hope.
Jo did, however, give us a recent update, which we are thankful for!
If you did not get the chance to be a part of that fun Christmas puzzler two years ago, then you can see how it went on our J. K. Rowling website update link. |
