On the official Facebook page for EA’s Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 video game, a video interview with Jonathan Bunney was posted today. The vice-president and executive producer of the game confirmed that James and Oliver Phelps (the Weasley twins), along with Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley), which we reported here, will be lending their voices to the computer animated versions of their film characters.
Mr. Bunney also confirmed that, unfortunately, Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) and Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) will not participate in the project because they are “the busiest two people on the planet”.
Mr. Bunney mentions how they tried to align the game with the movie as well as the book. He reveals a few of the encounters Harry will have in the game, for example Voldemort himself and the Death Eaters. He hints that there will be a creature not expected to be found outside Hogwarts, which is one of his favorites that the video team has created. Another hint Mr. Bunney gives is to expect a special feature that will come with the video game packaging; but he doesn’t give any details. He also confirms that doing spells on the Wii has changed. Players won’t have to keep shaking the remote during a duel.
The complete interview can be watched here.
A new photo still from the game was also added to the Facebook page. A larger copy of Harry battling a Death Eater at Godric’s Hollow can be seen here in our photo gallery.
