Emma Watson (Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films) and David Tennant (Barty Crouch, Jr.) have both received nominations for the 2010 Constellation Awards. The Constellation Awards are based in Canada and are for those they feel have had excellence in science fiction film and television.
Emma Watson was nominated in the category of Best Female Performance in a 2009 Science Fiction Film, TV Movie, or Mini-Series for her role in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. She’s going up against Aurora Buchanan (Doctor Who: Victimsight), Dakto Fanning (Push), and Zoe Saldana (for both Avatar and Star Trek).
David Tennant was nominated in the category of Best Male Performance in a 2009 Science Fiction Television Episode for his role in Doctor Who, The Water of Mars. He’s up against Gareth David-Lloyd (Torchwood Children of the Earth: Day 4), Jensen Ackles (Supernatural The End), John Noble (Fringe, Grey Matters), Misha Collins (Supernatural, The Rapture), Robin Dunne (Sanctuary Pavor Noturnus), and Ron Livingston (Defying Gravity Kiss).
