Rupert Grint’s (Ron Weasley) newest film, Into the White, has a date (or two)!

The film is set for iTunes and OnDemand on March 7, 2013.  It will also be in select theatres on April 12, 2013.

The film, which is set at the beginning of World War II, has two aircraft that are shot down over Norway.  The crews, which includes Gunner Robert Smith (portrayed by Grint), end up taking shelter in the same cabin.  They have to battle the harsh elements and each other.  Eventually friendships arise.

A new poster for Rupert Grint’s latest project, Into the White, is now online.  It shows Rupert in his pilot goggles and bomber jacket.  I’ve also included a trailer for you below.

We previously told you that Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter films) would be taking part in the Olympic torch relay today.  A video is now online where he is shown with the torch, greeting fans, and talks about the experience with the BBC.

We previously told you that Rupert Grint would be taking part in the running of the Olympic torch, however we didn’t have a date.  The date is now confirmed for July 25th.  He’ll take the torch at Middlesex University.

Rupert Grint revealed during an interview with RG.net that he’ll be one of the lucky people to run with the Olympic torch during the 2012 Olympic Ceremonies taking place in London beginning in just a few weeks.  He didn’t mention what date he will be running, but he seems a little concerned about the running bit.

Just I never run. I’m not a quick runner. And I’m actually running with the torch for the Olympics. I don’t know how far. It’s not far.

We previously told you that Rupet Grint (Ron Weasley) would be joining fellow Potter actor Alan Rickman (Snape) in the US for filming CBGB.  Well, he’s finally arrived in Savannah, Georgia, and a few photos of him at the set are now online.  You can see them over at ICM in their galleries here.

He’s sporting a shorter haircut and looking happy as always.

 Variety has reported a confirmation that Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter films) has signed for two films: The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman and CBGB.  Grint will star with Shia LaBeouf in the first film which is a story about a man who falls for a woman claimed by a crime boss.  In the second film, Grint is reunited with Harry Potter star Alan Rickman (Snape) who will portray CBGB owner Hilly Kristal in a story about the night club CBGB’s impact on the underground music scene.  Grint will portray Cheetah Chrome of the Dead Boys, who was influential in the club’s rise.

There is an unconfirmed online report that Grint and Rickman will shoot some of the scenes on location here in the US!

We previously reported that Ruper Grint’s new project, The Drummer, was set to start filming in June.  Due to scheduling conflicts with some of the crew, the filming will now begin this fall.  This made room for Drummer producers, Randall Miller and Jody Savin, to start on a new project CBGB, which stars Alan Rickman (Severus Snape).

Rickman will star as the NYC rock club owner who helped jump start legendary rock and punk performers such as Blondie, The Ramones, and Patti Smith.

Yahoo! Movies posted Warner Bros. Studios plan to release a  new 31-disc Blu-Ray box set called ‘Harry Potter Wizard’s Collection’ on September 10, 2012 in the UK.  The new box set will have all eight films on Blu-Ray (and UltraViolet digital copies), plus 37 hours of extras.  The films are contained in a large gift box weighing at least 19 lbs. ‘Artistic and authentic film memorabilia’ is also included.  The ‘Wizard’s Collection’ will feature all previously released content plus more than four hours of never-before-seen exclusive material

One of the never-before-seen material  is this behind-the-scenes clip of Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) and Alan Rickman (Severus Snape) sharing a memory of Grint drawing a caricature of Rickman in his Snape robes and makeup during the filming of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
