UPDATE: We now have a few photos of Rupert at the event. You can see them in our gallery here (thanks to SS).
UPDATE 2: Thanks again to Snitchseeker, we are able to post videos from Rupert’s Meet The Actor panel discussion during his appearance at the London Apple Store. One fan from New Jersey wished him a happy birthday. Rupert mentioned the DVD release of Cherrybomb and the future of Harry Potter and Leavesden Studios. Also, he confirmed that Leavesden Studios is currently being renovated for the Harry Potter attraction and museum that will open in 2012. And of course, he had a few words about his relationship between him, Daniel Radcliffe, and Emma Watson.
Sometimes, it was hard to understand what was being said due to the acoustics of the place so here is an excerpt:
Are you working on anything currently?
Rupert: Not actually right now. I’m enjoying some time off. I might be doing some things maybe next year.Any singing? Musicals?
Rupert: When we were in Florida I did karaoke. “I Got You Babe” … It was quite nice until I found it on youtube. On the last two reincarnations of The Doctor, it sounded like he wanted to be ginger. If offered the role, would you take it in Doctor Who?
Rupert: I would do that, yeah. I haven’t seen much of the new ones.Did you take some memorabilia from the set?
Rupert: Yeah, I did. They’re really quite strict with what you take. You have to be quiet, obviously. I got from Privet Drive the Number 4.Have you ever thought about going to any acting school? Not that you need it.
Rupert: Yeah, I have thought about it. When I started it was a bit of a fluke really. I just sent a video of me doing a rap to Newsrounds … I can’t actually remember all the words. It was basically just a lot of information of me that rhymes. Yeah, I sent it in to the casting people. Being on set has been a real education really. It’s been incredible being on set.One of your Japanese fans touched your eyelash. What did you feel?
Rupert:She won a competition to come and meet the cast. And she was quite excited about my eyelashes. She touched them … It was quite strange. If you were a type of cake, Rupert, what cake would you be?
Rupert:I’d be a Victoria sponge.Would you consider doing a series of films like the Harry Potter ones again, or would you want to stick to single ones like Cherrybomb?
Rupert: Yeah, I would probably consider it, if it wasn’t a wizard one.
