| Daniel
was born July 23, 1989 in London, England.
(Harry Potter's birthday is July 31)
His father, Alan Radcliffe, was a literary
agent. He recently stopped working to
devote all of his time to Daniel's career.
Daniel's mother, a casting director,
is named Marcia Gresham. Daniel, who
really wanted to be an actor, had to
convinced his parents to let him try
for a part in the film edition of Charles
Dicken's "David Copperfield's ."
He won the part of Young David. Little
did he know that it would be this part
that would help him win the most sought-after
role that England has had in many, many
years; that of Harry Potter.
Funny Mentionables:
Daniel most definitely loves working
on the set of Harry Potter. He, and
fellow actor/mate Rupert Grint (Ron),
enjoy playing practical jokes on other
actors. He once changed the settings
on Robbie Coltrane's (Hagrid) cell phone
to Turkish. Daniel's parents didn't
agree, however, and had him write a
letter of apology.
According to Daniel, during the filming
of the sleeping scene in the Great Hall
in Prisoner of Azkaban, "Alfonso
Cuaron (the director) and Alan Rickman
(Professor Snape) put a whoopee cushion
in my sleeping bag in the Great Hall
and when I started to move it went off.
The scene was a very quiet one so you
can imagine the hysteria which took
place once everyone heard it. "
What does Daniel enjoy most about working
on the Harry Potter set? He likes the
fact that he only has a few hours of
school work, and no homework. But, best
of all, no detention! You're not a troublemaker,
are you Daniel?
