Katie brushed her dark brunette hair out of her hazel eyes as she looked over at the other side..seeing Tom and another girl student again. She sighed and gave them a small glare.

Cassandra decided to go see what was with that other girl, so she walked around the lake. "Hi,"she said.

Tom ran the the shade of a tree out of sight, breathing deeply. What was wrong with him? He felt so, strange, almost human, and he wouldn't stand for that. He held his breath as Cassy passed him and watched her approach Katie. He cursed. Getting the two of them together was not a good idea.

"So..um..."Cassandra's voice trailed off. She had no idea what to say.

Tom had trouble hearing what they were saying, so he inched closer: tree by tree. He could tell Katie was not happy. Although they pretended to hate each other, Tom knew that Katie still had feelings for him. Hopefully she didn't hold a grudge against Cassy for it. He chastised himself for having such human-feelings. 'I'm more than a man,' he told himself, trying to brush away his feelings, 'I'm more than a man.' But it didn't work...

"I have got to go, so um...talk to you later?"Cassy said to Katie. Then she ran to the owelry to send an owl to her mom.

After Cassy had gone, Tom walked over to Katie. "Hiya," he said casually, stuffing his hands into his pockets.
"What do you want?" she asked him angrily, staring into the lake again, though her eyes were on his reflection rather than her own.
Tom sat down next to her. "I hope you weren't-"
"No, I wasn't," she cut in rudley. She ran her fingers through the water again. "Your girlfriend wouldn't like you sitting here with me," she told him irritably.
He bit his lip. "I'm sorry," he told her, "I didn't think that you'd be here."
"I can be where ever I want to be, thanks." She started to stand, but Tom grabbed her hand. Katie looked into his eyes for a moment, but then jerked away and ran as fast as she could for the castle.
Tom thought it would be best if he left for his dormitory as well...

I am so confused! I met this boy named Tom Riddle. I'm not sure if I like hm or not. I wish I were home, but I love it here. Oh well.

Cassy wrote the letter with a trembeling hand. It did get do lonely at Hogwarts. She didn't have a pet, and she missed her mom. She decided to go and find Tom Riddle, so she sent the letter with a school owl and went to find him.

Tom walked along the halls with no particular direction. Though he hated to admit it, he was looking for Katie. He wanted to talk to her, but knew there was nothing to talk about. What confused him even more was that he really was in love with Cassandra, yet he felt it for Katie too. 'Get a grip,' he told himself.
McNair turned the corner in front of him and nearly collided with him. "Oy, Tom," he said with an air of respect, "how are you? Haven't seen you sense the sorting ceremony."
"Is that so?" Tom replied rather bitterly.
McNair nodded. "Sense you went off with that Ravenclaw."
"That," he said sharply, "is none of your buisness." He shoved him roughly aside and continued walking, leaving McNair in his wake.

Cassandra rounded a corner and saw Tom and McNair talking. Or rather, arguing. She kinda stepped back and saw Tom walk on, and basicly panicked.

McNair turned sharply and say the Ravenclaw standing in front of him.
"What're you looking at?" he rather shouted stepping closer to her, his wand in her hand.

Tom knew he wouldn't find her that night. He cursed and walked into the nearest classroom, intending to practice his-
But as he entered he saw Katie sitting on one of the tables, eyes bloodshot and full of tears.
"I-" he began.

And sadly... now I must really leave. I'll be back tomorrow after school though!!! This is getting good!!! Yipee!!! I might even add more to my fan-fic then. Check it out if you haven't seen it yet. It's called "Love's Gone Behind."

Katie walked down the hallways, runnign out of the classroom, hearing arguing..and someone approaching her. It was..( Hmm) Rupert Weasley (Lol xDDD) she turned to him and gave him a small wave," Hey Rupert." Katie said softly as he approached her.

Same, I have to go. I have school and a gigantic mountain of homework and a project dued in two weeks and my friend is really killing me cause I'm not participating in it, lol..okay, bye everyone!

After Cassy bumbed into McNair, she went to go find Tom. "Where is Tom?"she wondered.

McNair pushed Cassy back roughly. "Why do you care you -" He stopped ubruptly as a teacher walked past, eyeing them suspisously. "Keep you hands off him," he muttered threatingly, "He's a Slytherin and he doesn't want you."

Cassy burst into tears and ran off. I can't belive it, I won't believe it. He has to love me she thought.

Then Tom noticed that it wasn't Katie... it was Belatrix. "Nice of you to drop in, Tom." Her voice was shaking and her breathing quite heavy.
"What's the matter now?" he growled, angry to find he was wrong.
"You and a Ravenclaw?"
Tom wanted to jinx her. "I love her," he told her bitterly, "which is a lot more than I ever felt for you."
Belatrix burst in to a frenzy of tears, but Tom didn't wait around. He turned on his heal and left the classroom, in search either Cassy or Katie.
