when peter pettigrew transformed forma arat to his human form he has his clothes on but when he escapes by transferring back to a arat his clothes are left, this confused because as weird as this may seem doesnt it mean that whenever peter will tramsform form a rat to his human form then in that case he should be shown naked not fully dressed.
another thing is that when sirus transforms from a dog to his human form he is fully dressed and when doing the opposite his clothes are not left behind. |

I think this was just a mistake that the film makers made.
because in the books when they transformer to or from an animal they keep there cloths. because in the books it says the sirius is in the same robes from the prison. so yeah i think it was just an oversight on the film makers part |

I believe that when you transform your clothes almost become a part of you. For instance, Rita's eyeglasses are not a physical part of her body, but they are part of her markings when she is in beetle form. Perhaps the way it works is that when you transform, your clothes can affect your outwardly appearance, such as a dog's coat color, or a bird's wings color. And then when you untransform, your clothes are still there. I don't believe it makes too much of an affect on your markings, because when you register with the Ministry they make notes of your markings. But I do believe that when you transform, your physical dress transforms with you and changes back again when you do.

Yeh, I'll have to agree with you guys about the filmmakers just over looking this, and the clothes being part of you. I couldn't see any other way around this.

I couldn't see any other way around this. I don't think the director for POA (I forgot his name, Alfonso or something) actually kind of delved hard enough into the book. The movie definitely missed out a lot of stuff, and I don't think the director would have really bothered for something (in his opinion) like that. |

Good point, but we also have to remember that as the books get longer, the movies need to cram more things in a shorter time period. Not complaining though, I know that they could have put that little detail in, and it would have made more sense, but oh well. I personally wouldn't mind sitting through a longer movie as long as they got it more accurate.

I think it was for an effect.
The director might have missed it, I actually think it highly likely that he did but having him shrink down and sort of get lost in to the clothing is sort of metaphorical. |

I think your clothes etc. become a part of you as an animagus. Prof. McGonagall was a cat who had markings around her eyes, like her glasses.
