> The heir of Gryffindor, ther was an heir of slytherein after all

Tom Marvolo Riddle was the heir of Slytherein. And he is a snake animagus, just as the animal of Slytherein house is.

I expect that all of the founders: Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Slytherein and Huflepuff, were all animagi of the animals of their houses. After all, they were all very powerful wizards.

Doesn't it make sense that the other three wizards have heirs?

I have a suspision that Harry could be the heir of Gryfindor and by a Lion animagus. It is likely that he will become an animagus of something after all.

This would give The Chamber of Secrets book some significance because of the heir of Slytherein stuff.

And although it might not need disscussing right now, might there be heirs of Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff also?

I'm sure the other founders must have heirs. It'd be quite sad if they didn't. But I don't think they'll come into play because there wasn't as much animosity between the other two like there was between Gryffindor and Slytherin.

Harry as the heir of Gryffindor is a very popular theory. I wouldn't besurprised at all if he is. But i'm sorry to say he is not an Animagus. Never will be. JK said he has too much on his plate to train up for that. I'll find the quote for you. :)

Found it!

SB: We’re going to take a few more questions, and um, the next one is will Harry ever turn into a shape-changer like his father?

JKR: Animagus. No, Harry’s not in training to be an animagus, and if you’ve read book three, you won’t know – um, that’s a wizard that’s very, very difficult to do. They learn to turn themselves into animals. No, Harry is not, Harry is going to be concentrated elsewhere, he’s not going to have time to do that. He’s got quite a full agenda coming up, poor boy.

I think that the "Harry is going to be an animagus" is the most appealing theory I have heard about but now Jk said he isn't!!!

I rather thought that Griffindor was a grifdfin animagus!! It must be cool to be as powerful as a lion and be able to fly like an eagle!!
I would love it!!!

I don't think Tom riddle was a snake animagus and it would be stupid for Harry and Voldemort to become animagus!! Because I think they both have the ability to possess others bodies!!! They just have to make an animal appear and possess it!!!
I'm going to post a new thread about that theory!!!

The only one he ever feared!!!!

I don't think Tom Riddle was a snake animagus either. I don't ever recall him turning himself into a snake but he could control the basilisk and has a 'pet' snake, Nagini.

I think theres a possiblity that he could be the heir to both Griffindor and Slytherin
I mean, if rumors turn out to be true about Lily and all

Tom Riddle is not an animagus, however he is able to possess his snakes (Nagini) like when Harry saw Mr. WEasley attacked, at that time V was possessing the snake, he wasn't actually the snake.

It would be cool if Harry were to become an animagus, but if JKR says is isn't going to happen, then, of course, it won't.

I definitely agree that Harry is the heir of Gryffindor, but I also (IMO) think that harry is the Heir of slytherin as well. won't go into much detail here, as I've gone over this one before. It's the eyes, you see.

Yeah, he is, but Slytherin could have more than one heir.... the only reason i don't think that Harry is the heir of Slytherin is that would be related to Voldy- I know some people think that's true, but i don't think it is.
Anyways, I think its very possible that Harry is the heir of Gryffindor, but i'm not completely sure of this theory.... I'm not exactly for it or against it. So I basically have no opinion.

Many feel Harry is the heir to Gryffindor because he was able to pull Godric's sword out of the sorting hat......but to me, all it proved is that Harry is a 'true Gryffindor' in so much as he truly belongs to Gryffindor House as opposed to the three other Hogwarts Houses.

But remember- Voldemort transferred some of his powers to Harry and they are related in more ways than one...
they share brother wands
they look somewhat alike
theyre both orphans
and anyway, we don't know much about Harrys family/ bloodline

perhaps godric gryffindor and salazar slytherin were related.... Maybe they had a really big "hatfield and mccoy" dispute that caused slytherin to leave

If riddle is heir of slytherin and harry is heir of gryffindor perhaps they are only continuing the dispute that started hundreds of years earlier

so jkr says she doesn't like us to call him "voldie"? well, i didn't like her to kill sirius, and she DID it!!!
then...

This is now in the rules - Per JKR (which is now in my rules), Lord Voldemort is not to be referred to as Voldie - Dijares
