I seen to remeber at the end of the latest Spiderman film, that peter parker said to his only lovethat he couldn't be with her, because She would be at a great threat from all of his enemys.

Now is it just me, or is that exactly the same thing that Harry said to Ginny??

Yes, it's the same thing, and I think it'll end up with Ginny and Harry going out anyway, perhaps Ginny even helping Harry with the Horuxes(sp?). Romance scenes are rather difficult to be original considering the amount of films and books out there... It doesn't need to be original to be real. Harry cares for Ginny, and staying with her will put her in danger and provide Voldemort with a weapon against him.

Yes, I totally agree with that (I said it about an hour ago in another thread).

I hate the "I'm a hero so we have to stay apart" speech, no matter who it's from.

I'm hoping they get back together in book7. Anyone else?

Oh yes they better. Maybe it's because I was raised with 3 sisters and seen more chick flicks then 99% of other guys out there (not proud of this...), but I'm a sucker for this kind of story.

I agree with the 'Hero Concept'. If everyone did know about Harry and Ginny going out, Voldemort, who has access to Harry's thoughts, dreams and emotions, would use this to his advantage by kidnapping Ginny and threatening Harry with her life.

He did this with Sirius before, what's to stop him from doing it again? Ginny could seriously suffer and might even die. This would only make Harry more bitter and angry and guilty and all this hatred and anger can't be good for him...

I'm not saying he didn't do the right thing...I'm just saying it killed me to hear him say that and then to not have her fight more to stay with him. *sob* Sorry, I'm in shipper mode right now.

I'm glad Rone and Hermione kinda got together in the end. I was expecting and hoping for that.

But I was disspapointed Harry did not get together with Luna instead of Ginny...I find Ginny irritating and anoying. Luna was much more original and interesting. She understood Harry better than anyone and she was the only one Harry would talk to about Sirius and other strange things like the veil and the dead...She is my favourite female character in the book series because she is so myterious and unique.

Don't agree with you about Luna although I liked how her character had developed in this book. What's so annoying about Ginny? I like her character.

Well...I never really liked her....from the very first time she kept blushing at the very trace of Harry's existence.

And how she kept shuffling through boyfriends so quickly. And her intrusive character is simply annoying and irritating on its own....

I can't explain it, heh, just don't like her really...

I understand why you like her though. I don't really hate her, just kidn of...mild distaste really. but I think she'll do fine with Harry as long as she won;t butt into his bussiness which is the part that annoyes me the most, like in book 5 when she made Harry take her to the Departement of Mysteries like she had the ownership of it or something...

Personally, I am very happy wuith harry and ginny (as seen in my sig). The reason I like it so much is because Harry seems to like her so much. At the end of the book (p.646 US hardcover) it says "...and he knew that at that moment they understood each other perfectly..."

To me, Ginny and Harry just...fit.

P.S.-I did think of Spiderman when I read that scene.

I don't think so. I think one of the weasley's will be killed in combat with the DEs. I just don't think Voldemort himself would bother with the Weasley's. There just not worth anything to him.

I think this is like my third post today... Any way I didn't like that hero speech. It indeed remined me of Peter Parker. In Spiderman they end up together 39:clap:

Ginny should just ignored him or may be she agrees but is willing to take the risk. She was in the ministry in the previuos book and fighting that night too. I dont see her just standing aside because Harry would prefer it that way. Also I dont see Ron spending any less time with Harry or Harry not visiting The Burrow at all. I dont see how can they manage to stay away from each other.
