Why, Does everyone want to be in Gryfinndor? Options

I have a qestion, if Harry were in syltherin would everybody want to be in syltherin? 08:huh:

It seems that everyone I know wants to be in Gryfindor.(I thought it was because harry and hermione and ron are in Gryfindor) 49:harry:

Oh, I like Slytherin too but, I trulely believe the hat would have put me in Gryffindor. Otherwise in Slytherin, I'm a powerful person and I ususally get what I want, for a matter of fact, my family motto is "Nickel Is Power," for the fact that my last name is, Nichols, the motto has been in our family for century's, but when it omes dowm to it i'm a gryffindor

I personally don't want to be in Gryffindor so the reason why I am in it is because in every single sorting quiz or test I take, it always put me in Gyffindor. Now, I dont lie on the questions, I was just that way. 45:gryffindor:

Hmmm.. 08:huh: yes I think it's a very interesting question. I think people naturally want to be in Gyffindor because it's the house our heros are in but like Dementor's Kiss, quizzes always place me in this house..

Quite possibly we are biased in our answers to the questions - I think with a choice I would choose Gryffindor as there's nothing I don't like about the characteristics it suggests. Whereas, the idea of being in Slytherin doesn't really appeal as I'm not competitive and feel suffocated in competitive environments. Also, Ravenclaws seem to spend their heads in books far too much and people in Hufflepuff are known for their hard-working, diligent attitude (so not me! I do as little as possible to achieve maximum results! It's called competitive learning!).

Yes sir! - Courage, boldness and noble spirit - with some rashness mixed in sounds best to me.

But I also think that Gyffindor is the house we all know the most about, so the quizzes themselves are probably biased towards giving this answer!!! That probably plays a large part in why we always seem to be sorted into this house.

Same here. Every time I take a sorting quiz, I put down what I would do in that cituation. And they put me in Gryffindor.

Yeah, I think many people want to be in Griffindor because Harry, the main and the 'best' character is in that particular house. I think some people are in Slytherin because they just think they ought to be different..

i only think people want to be in gryffindor because yes it is sane and yea harry ron and hermione are in there but in the book the sorting hat states that you have to be brave willing and other stuff to be in this house

slytherin are evil and every with and wizard turns bad but that is not ture because malfory had the chance to kill dumbledor and he didnt did he
ravenclaw are smart and most people think its boring but hermiones smart and shes in gryffindor
and hufflepuff people reckon are wimpy and are a bunch of sad people yea ernie is a bit of a wimp and hes a bit stuck up but hes still a good person
it doesnt matter what house you go in your gunna make friends...

That may also be true, but sometimes, the student will not be sorted in the same house as their relatives...but anyway, this is a possible answer.

I believe that if The Sorting Hat put Harry in Slytherin people would want to be in Gryffindor as any other house. It just so happens that the trio are all in Gryffindor, so they all want to be in Gryffindor. I myself have taken countless quizzes and no matter how much times I try theyalways put me in Ravenclaw and the weird part is that one time I did this thing where you shake TThe Sorting Hat, turn it upside down, and read what it says. Almost every time it's Ravenclaw! By the way, to give you a clearer idea it's kinda like one of those Magic 8-balls.

well i think that everybody wants to be in Gryfffindor because they want to meet Harry, Hermione and ron. And beacuse it sounds like one of the best places to be. (not to hurt anybodys feeelings) in the book Hagrid says that Hufflepuff ''are a bunch a 'ol duffers" and with Slytherin all the evils and then some go there; Ravenclaw (no offense people i kind of like them too) are all the nerds. Naturally, where would you want to go? The worst thing with Gryffindor is maybe everybody 'acting the hero' as hermione puts it.

Actually I was sorted in Gryffindor by the hat otherwise I wished to be in Slytherin or Hufflepuff. But I am happy because Harry is in that house.

I went on this website and the sorting hat sorted me in GRYFFINDOR!

If Harry was in Slytherin, I don't think I would want ot be in Slytherin, they are

just too sly and mean.

And I know of heaps of peole who want to not be in gryffindor, so it just depends.

Well, I think that if Harry was in Slytherin the book would be really different, so its hard to say if people would want to be in Slytherin just because he's in it. A lot of people I think like Gryffindor, because since Harry/Ron/Hermione are on it we know the most about it. If they were in a different house, I think a lot of people would like it instead because we would know a lot about it instead of Gryffindor.
