You might want to elaborate a bit more and when and where this happens and maybe we can help. :)

Not at the duel but in the chapter "Midnight Duel" he gets his Remembrall and it goes red at breakfast, which means he forgot something, I wonder what he forgot

No we didn't get told what he forgot, but it's well-known that Neville has a dreadful memory so I doubt it was anything of great importance.

As Neville says in the film - the remembrall glows red when he forgets something, the only problem being that he can't remember what he's forgotten.

I can relate to Neville's problem. I could have one, and never remember what I was supposed to remember.
But... I think part of Neville's problem is the lack of confidence in himself. Once he has that he won't have any problems remembering. Now for me..... It's called OLD AGE!!! :toofunny: :toofunny: |

Of course the theory exists that JK is foreshadowing the revelation that Neville had a Charm placed upon him to erase his memory from some traumatic event. He would have been atleast 15 months old when the DE tortured his parents. Maybe he saw this and was upset. Who knows? (JK does!)

My theory is exactly what Molly just said.
Nev's rememberall glows red because of a memory charm and that charm is also what makes him such a dreadful wizard. The spell was a little more potent than intended. ;) |

hee hee I thought those pictures were of Dan Radcliffe and thought 'wow! he's grown up! I've changed my opinion of him!' Then realised they're Orlando..... :D
Nik Oh and to make this stay on topic I did think neville had a memory charm put on him but then I read the North tower stuff over at mugglenet and it changed my mind. Who would put a charm on him? 1) bellatrix and co but wouldn't it be easier for them to kill him (or torture him to make his parents talk if he was convieniently standing there- they didn't talk so neville would have gone mad too) 2) his gran but that would go against what she said in st mungo's about being proud of his parents sacrifice and remembering them. |

Maybe he's just absent-minded and forgetful.......a lot of people are like that.
I've never seen anything to convince me that he's had a charm put on him. |
