I didn't see 'Other' option so I voted 'Professor Hagrid' otherwise I'd vote 'Other' because of Professor Lupin, what are the possibilities of having a werewolf as a teacher? And of course, I liked his portrait on the movie too - quite a funny guy and what a class, they all ended up laughing... not a very common thing on our 'normal' classes isn't it? xP

As just one of the elders at Hogwarts, I'd obviously choose Dumbledore, but as a teacher, it is Lupin. He is such a wonderful character. Really brilliant.

In my opinion, Lupin is the best. No question about it. He's the perfect friend, mentor and teacher all rolled into one.
He's got humour too and that's just the cherry on top! 02:D It seems a lot of us are in agreement here. Shame Lupin wasn't included in the poll, I think he'd win despite his "furry little problem". He's really too concerned about people judging him on that.. I know it's within reason seeing what he's gone through but I hate to see that affect his perception of himself. Poor lovely Lupin, I want to give him a hug! Might just have to settle on a choccy frog. 62:frog: |

I chose other because it would be a toss up for either Professor Lupin or Flitwick.
But I tink i would choose Lupin becase he's abeeter character, I just like the subject flitwick teaches! (charms) 02:D 02:lol: 01:) 04:P |

I voted for McGonagall because Lupin was not listed. McGonagall is an outstanding teacher but what I really liked about Lupin was his ability to identify with his students. They all not only respected him as a good teacher but they genuinely liked him as well. He didn't use fear or derision as tactics to keep his class in line.
Not that I am saying that McGonagall does! She is hard nosed and a tough teacher. She garners respect from her students. Lupin just had an easier style and seemed more approachable. |

I would have to say Lupin. Although, I don't know what I said about a year ago! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) Lupin is just plain friendly! You could, also, learn a lot from him.

Lupin definatly. I would love to have a teacher like Lupin. He treated everyone fairly and he was so nice to Neville when most teachers loose their patience with him. And he really stood up for Harry to Snape. *hits snape over head with crystal orb*

I, also, would like to have a teacher like Lupin! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Although, Professor Sprout seems very happy all the time, so she would be fun to be with!

I love Hagrid! He just seems to be really laid back and easy to talk to. He reminds me of a couple of teachers I had both as my English/cultural studies Professor in University and my highschool sociology teacher where they were very approchable and fun to talk to. Seemed more like your best friend than an athority figure.
I also like Snape just because i'm a fan of the character, and the inner city highschool I went to, man, if he taught there noone would have acted up in the class room. He'd scare the pants off the most toughest thug who thought they ran the school haha. He can hold a classes intrest as he did captivate the class with that speach about potions in Philosophers stone. But really if he was a muggle talking about science and chemistry it would not have been exciting at all. I would have fallen asleep half way through the speach gaining me the 1st one to get yelled at before Harry LOL Where snape runs the class with an iron fist, Hagrid has control of a class just because hes very cool. two diffrent teaching styles which work effectively. Well Hagrid can't keep Draco undercontrol but who can. Little jerk lol. This post has been edited by KatScratch: May 7 2007, 11:30 AM |
