Muggles to Magical, What if people we know found out they were wizards? Options

Things seem sort of dead and I miss role play, so I decided to make this one. I was looking around my room and my eyes fell upon my gossip magazine. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) I started imagining the people on the cover being wizards. It was kind of hilarious. Okay, so I'll make myself an easy character. I'll be Selena Gomez. Let's see if this works.

Selena stared wide-eyed at the broken cup that was just holding her orange juice a few seconds ago. She looked around the kitchen. No one else was in the room. She slowly started cleaning up after herself. That was weird, she thought to herself. She was frustrated with her math homework when the sudden blast from the glass had occured.

Selena was in her room when-
"Selena! Why are there glass fragments in the trash?" her mother yelled.
Selena gasped and ran downstairs. She looked from her mom, to the trash can, and back. How was she going to explain?
"I'm sorry, I dropped the tumbler walking it to the sink because I was so into my math homework."
She grinned sheepishly and ran back to her room before her mother could say anything more.
"Phew!" Selena yelled out loud as she flumped onto her bed. "Ahhhhhhhhh!"
An owl had swooped in and dropped a letter onto her stomach. Why do weird things keep happening to me? she thought desperately. Selena sat up and decided to ignore the strange bird that had just zoomed out. Deep down inside, Selena was smiling because nothing really exciting ever happened in her dull neighborhood. She ripped open the envelope with calmed excitement. It said:

Dear Ms. Gomez,
We have great news! Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy in Europe has accepted your request! We will send a free mode of transportation on Semptember first. Time has not yet been confirmed. Please send questions on back. Thanks!

With a slight 'Puh!' the envelope disappeared and the letter wiped blank with Selena still holding it with a very bewildered expression on her face.
