Yeah, i never quite got the gist of those theorists who believed Percy was under the imperious curse. The disappearance of Wormtail in book 5 was a decent argument but saying there were clues in Percy's letter - i never saw them. :(

The clues in the letter... dont worry im not mad. I thought this topic had been discussed to death, well it hasn't so ill explain quickly. Basically some people were arguing that Percy was under the Imperious Curse (put on by Wormtail) and that he fought back strongly enough to write a letter to Ron full of clues telling what will happen next. It's the letter Percy sends in OotP, i forgot what chapter. But what the theorists were arguing that cryptically Percy was warning them that Dumbledore would be kicked out of the school, the Ministry would take over at Hogwarts and Harry was in danger etc.

I agree, got to one of the worse characters in the books! Percy is just that mean and stupid, and obviously power-hungry. I'd bang my head against a wall if he became MOM!!! NOOOOOOO! :yikes:

No way in heck will he be MfM, Fudge ain't retired yet. Plus nobody would support him. Fudge won't be around long, though... not after Voldemort turning up in his office!!!

i think jk said we will have a new MOM in the webchat a while ago but i dont think it will be percy, he was too close to fudge, i dont think hed go for it. and any way does the MOM get elected or is he just put on iff you get what i mean?

I think that Percy won't go for MoM as he'll be too embarassed and no one would want to give it too him anyway as he was too close and similar to Fudge, and no one likes HIM.
