My guess is that he will not be in grimmauld place at all. I agree that Sirius hated it and would never want Harry to live there. Also, Kreacher couldn't tell the secret that grimmauld place was the order's headquarters, they could continue to use it. Sirus was still at large. His body fell through the curtain, does the ministry still consider him missing? Do they know that he is dead? If they think that he is still alive and in hiding the property will still be his and the legalities are not an issue.
