Tom Riddle ran a hand through his hair and leaned against the tall oak tree. He wore a casual expression, his eyes glinting softly in the shadows of the tree. His arms were crossed loosly and his school bag lay at his feet.
There was an air of superiority about him. Students milling across the grounds hurried past, glancing at him admiringly and fearfully. But he ignored them.
His gaze swept over the plane of his view. A group of Gryffendors passed in front of him, falling suddenly silent as they neared. Their faces showed contempt and they raised their chins high and avoided his eye. One of the girls, however, stooped low, shuffling behind one of her friends. He glimpsed her face, which was bright red, before a curtain of brown hair fell from her braide, hiding it from view...

Oh darn it... it's time for bed!!! I'll write more on Monday or whenever I get around to it... Sorry!!!

There was an air of superiority about him. Students milling across the grounds hurried past, glancing at him admiringly and fearfully. But he ignored them.

His fingers wandered the the pocket of his robe and he stroked the handle of his wand. He sighed breifly, watching the young wizards and witches around him. A group of girls were sitting under a birch tree, thick with foliage. Thier books were open of their laps, but they kept pointing to him and giggling softly. He shook his head in disgust and looked away.
Tom stood straight, strectching his arms above his head. His grabbed his bag and swung it over his shoulder. Acting as if oblivous to the girls' chatter, he stepped out of the shadows and headed towards the castle. Dumbledore could not leave him waiting any longer.
The doors had been left open on the warm September day, and Tom crossed the threshold unbidden. He walked through the halls quickly, ignoring the greetings of other students as he passed. His patience was short and he wasted no time interacting with his peers (if they deserved to be called that).
Dumbledore's office came in view and Tom in front of the door. He raised his hand to knock, but hesitated slightly. He chastised himself for fearing such an incompetant wizard and brought his fist into the door several times.
"Enter."
He did as he was told, pushing the door open and allowing himself in. The room was filled with many strange objects that Tom did not take him to admire. His interest was for the man sitting behind a desk farther into the room. His graying hair and beard were rather long, but he was used to his strange apperance by now.
"You wanted to see me, Sir?" he asked politely, masking his hatred.
Dumbledore cupped his hands in front of him on the desk, fingers entertwined. He surveyed the young wizard before him with his bright blue eyes. Tom always got the expressing that his proffesor could see straight through him.
"I do, Tom." Dumbledore indicated to chair beside his desk. Tom walked to the chair and sat down. He put his hand to his pocket again, caressing his wand tenderly.
"What is it?" he inquired rather rudely. "Sir," he added quickly.
"No doubt you are aware of the recent attacks on certain Hogwarts students."
Tom nodded.
