Dumbledore and voldy, could it be???? Options

has anyone else noticed that dumbledore has become increasingly weaker since voldy come back? hhhhmmm, i thought of this the other day, but i havent had the time too put it on this site. could he be connected with voldy? he has already told us he has a scar on his knee. and he also seems to know quite alot about curse scars. so when he says i have become aware of your connection with lord voldemort he could mean that voldemort is giving me dreams too but i can block them out because im an occlemens and legimens, thats why you ned to take occlumency. hmmm what do you guys think? :huh: :hogwarts: :gandalf:

hmmm i see your point but im not sure...... the scar thing makes sense - doesnt he say it is a perfect map of the london underground lol!!! also the fact that DD is getting weaker - but that could be due to his old age as well. not sure about the dreams though.......hmmmmm

yes, it's true that he is getting older, and is the reason that many believe him to be Nicolas Flammel. i'm not sure if there is any connection between him and voldemort. i mean, truly, he detests voldemort. dumbledore is one of the most knowledgeable wizards of all time (along with being the strongest). i just don't see there being a connection, but who knows what JKR planned. Only her! Sheesh, wish I knew occlumency so i could go meet her eye-to-eye and read her mind. mawhahahha. :darkside:

I don't think that Dumbledore is getting weaker!!! In Ootp, he did manage to make Voldemort flee!! I think he seems weaker and older but there is no connection between that and Voldemort!

And then I think that Dumbledore can't vanquish Voldemort because he has already vanquished a dark Wizard (Grindelwald). It seems that those things work by period. I think that Voldemort will kill Dumbledore because he is the greatest wizard of his time and then Harry will become the greatest wizard of the next time when killing Voldemort. Who will kill Harry then??

I think Dumbledore was feeling his age because all the problems were getting him down, such as Voldemort coming back.......Fudge and his henchmen taking over the school and forcing him out of Hogwarts etc, plus he has known about the prophecy all along and worries about the dangers that Harry is facing. If, as we suspect, he can foresee things, then maybe he knew Sirius was going to die and also knows who else in the Order is going to die. That would make anyone feel weak and vulnerable, no?
As for him being Flammel, I haven't heard that theory before. Not sure I'd agree with that.

I don't think he is Flamel because Flamel is in fact a myth because he is well known in all legends as the greatest alchimist!!!

Yes, a perfect map of the London Underground. Maybe he got hit by a subway car in his earlier days.

As for Dumbeldore getting weaker, you must not have read OotP yet. Do so now. If you have read it, then you must realize he is NOT getting weaker.

1. What we have seen of DD so far in the books has been nothing spectacular... he has always had an uncanny ability to sense things. He never really cast any amazing spells to show us his true power.

2. In OotP though, DD unleashes with his full (or close to it) ability. Sure, he makes Voldemort flee and calmly battles him with not only spells and strength, but with the mind and being so steady while facing the worst wizard ever.

3. If that isn't enough, think back a chapter earlier when he stormed in to all these other wizards dueling (sirius, Mad Eye, and Remus too who were good wizards) and he single handedly tied up most of the Death Eaters with an anti-apparation charm. Now that's impressive.

4. The only weakness I saw was that he admitted to Harry he had made a mistake by not telling him of things and avoiding him all year - but truthfully, it was a mistake he kept deciding to make every year so it wasn't like he got weaker from early in Harry's career.

So, as far as I'm concerned, we've seen Dumbeldore's true power and he isn't weak or getting weaker. Maybe when he was 50 years younger he was stronger, but wizarding has everything to do with knowledge of spells and experience. So, he seems in about tip-top form right now to me.
