Here is where you can discuss the second book in the Inheritance trilogy - Eldest.
IMHO I felt that Chris Paolini's writing truly matured. You can tell that he had matured much more during this book. It was excellent and kept me breathless, especially at the end. |

I agree about the movie... it wasn't that great and they need a new director, but I have to disagree about the other: I really don't think Eldest was as good as Eragon. Eragon seemed truly authentic in his writing and Eldest seemed... well fake to me and he rushed parts that should have been prolonged and prolonged parts that should have been rushed. Plus, Eragon seemed weak to me. He needs to buck up if he's ever going to defeat the glory of hi brother; Murtagh the Dark Rider. But don't get me wrong, I love both the books! They're so great, especially considering Paolini is so young.

The 2nd book showed that Eragon had learned, but it showed he has a long way to go. |
