Here you can discuss the characters of the Inheritance trilogy.

Who is your favorite character, and why?

Eragon is mine, of course. Though I could see why Murtagh would be the favorite for many. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

For one: Murtagh is my favorite character. He's so dynamic and all his crazy internal conflicts make him so believable (loosely speaking of course). I personally LOVED it when he turned bad! Following in the footsteps of his father, eh? But besides that, he's so deep and he's got it all figured out. Look at my siggy... the bottom quote is from him and I really think that describes him well.

Second: the next rider... KATRINA! Think about it... she was taken by the Ra'zac and will probably at some point come in contact with the egg. It's deffinatly not a cliche and people won't be expecting it. I mean, with Roran it would be pretty cool and he'd make an awesome rider, but I think it's too expected. But Katrina would be, as far as we know, the first female rider.

Oh, and I just have to say that I completly agree with murtagh_sbk! Evil people (in literature and movies... of course not real life) always look cooler! I don't think Murtagh really is good or evil though. I think he's just lost in a mixed up crazy world which is another reason why he's so awesome. None of the best characters are all good or all bad... they have a mix! I believe that Murtagh just wants a bit of power. He deserves it, too. He's amazing. Right now he's pretty much at the mercy and in the control of Galbatorix, but he did take Zar'roc on his own free will... so I"m thinking he's a streak of evil in him. Eragon has yet to show his... but he has one. He has to, not only because all dynamic characters have good and evil in them... but because he's a son of Morzan. He has to.
