She placed her palms out as if to make a visionorb but she dropped her hands in dismay rembering she had lost her power, she tried to speak but couldn't the words were too painful. She looked at him screaming in her mind what had happened to her.
"My power," She whispered quickly.

Latham raised an eyebrow. "And what will you give me in return?"

Ajyn shook her head. "What was it again you wanted, miss." The girl was being difficult. She was going to get her beaten. She had to want something. "Are you hungry? Is there anybody I can get for you?" Anything, she pleaded silently, please.

"Well, now that you mention it; could you bring me Jackson. Then you can do whatever you want." Amber said, smiling at her.

"Anything you want. My power is rather astonishing" She said then added "when i have it."

Latham shrugged. "I want an offer," he whispered, his finger trailing down her face, "You see, I don't know what I want. I need you to tell me that."

Ajyn shrugged. "Yes, ma'am." She turned around and stepped across the hall where she rapped her fist on the door. "Jackson, sir?" she asked. A muted response came and a few seconds later, the door opened.
"What?" Jackson asked, yawning widely
She bit her lip. "Um, Amber wants to see you."
Jackson smiled and walked over to her door where he knocked loudly.

Riddle shut her eyes searching within herself and within Latham. Finding nothing she said, "How about this. When you find out what you want. Holler me. I'll be here."

The whole room gasped. Kathrynia looked around and silently laughed in her head. The whole dormitory was awake and listening to her story.

A pigtailed girl ran up to Latham. She started to speak, but then,"Never mind. I'll do it."
"Hi, I'm Kirstyna." Her voice was sweet, but her eyes were cold.

Latham glanced sideways at the girl. "You're late for your meeting," he told her.
He turned back to Riddle. "The point of this is," he said softly, "I want you to tell me what I want."

Amber smiled and got up to answer the door. As she passed the mirror she made sure she looked presentable, oh, forget presentable, she wanted to look amazing for Jackson. She opened the door.
"Jackson." she said, "Come in."

Jackson did. As soon as the door was closed, he leaned down to kiss her gently. "Hi," he muttered, kissing her again, "How are you?"

Amber tried to catch her breath back. "Fine." She said. How could she not be fine with Jackson with her.

"What did Logan want?" he asked quietly.

"Why? why is it so important?" She said looking up at him throught her big blue eye, confused

"Oh believe me, it is," Latham said.

Amber tried to remember the conversation she'd had with Logan. It seemed like days ago even though it had happened a few hours ago.
"I just asked him some questions."

"That's not what i asked," Riddle wasn't giving up anytime soon, "I asked why. Why wont you just tell me what you desire and i'll pray to whatever celestial being there may be that I have the power to fullfill it."

Latham shrugged. "It's just my way and not your place to question, is it? You're in no position to bargin. And in truth, I don't now that I trust you. Prove to me that I can trust you. Then you'll get your power back."

Jackson raised an eyebrow. "Questions? Like what?" He was trying and failing to conceal his suspicions.

"I asked him what happened to my mother and father." she answered cooly; she didn't want to discuss this with Jackson.
