Okay, folks, here are the covers and synopsis for the 7th book.

Synopsis

Harry has been burdened with a dark, dangerous and seemingly impossible task: that of locating and destroying Voldemort's remaining Horcruxes. Good questions! My first thoughts brought me to Tom Riddle's vault. After that I was thinking Slytherin's vault. Now I'm quite confident that it is the Hogwarts vault rather than either of those other two.

I don't think Hogwarts has a vault. Remember what Hagrid said? No place is as safe as Gringott's, except, maybe, for Hogwarts.

Oh the scar in the UK version has never been in doubt. That is quite obvious, it's the US version that is a bit baffling. Again though I'm standing firm on it not being there, it probably is and is just wishful thinking on my part.

I wish Scholastic would put out a hi-res version like Bloomsbury did. Here it is (you'll have to click on it for the large version):

If Voldy had a vault, would Gringotts have just left it, knowing what kind of dangers could be in there? Is it part of the magic that they can't simply empty a vault even if it was Voldemorts? Or was it made in someone elses name, Tom Riddle perhaps?

I think that the goblins are very good at keeping secrets and not getting into people's personal business. So, I don't think they'd do anything about it.

As for the sword, I think that DD put all the valuable things that were in his possesion(the sword, the diary, and possibly Fawkes flew there as an added protection to the items)into the Hogwarts vault.

I wouldn't see why the goblins of Gringott's would be any different than the Swiss bankers of the Muggle world. In both cases, each group wants the gold, treasure, posessions, etc of the public because it gives them business and they get particularly nasty and difficult to deal with if you try to force them to give up what is in their vaults.

Also, www and I were talking last night, and she mentioned about seeing Dumbledore in the clouds, on the British cover. It took me a while to see it, but not only did I see that, but I also saw a face of a woman, and what looks like a werewolf in the clouds also. Man, have I got quite an imagination going on there.
