Finally, after ages it seemed. Classes were over and they were dismised to class. As Sophie walked down the hall she heard the usually string of gossip, but this time the students were really excited.
"What's going on?" She asked an overly excited 4th year.
"Well, it seems as though someone bewitched an ox to make a potion!" she burst out laughing. Sophie waited for her to continue, but she couldn't stop laughing.
"Well? Who was it?"
"A 6th year named...I think her name was Sierra...yes Sierra sounds right."

Jeff rolled his eyes to hide his own amusement. He yawned widely and tried to pay attention to the teacher. Humans were deffinatly crazy.

Sierra raised her hand and the already agrivated teacher turned to her.
"What is it Miss Denver?" He asked aggitated
"I have to go."
"No." HE sneered
"Sure thing, thanks sir. See you." She said ignoring him and standing up that girl had far to much attitude.
"Miss Denver!" HE said grabbing her by the shoulder and turning her around "sit down." And if she hadn't been rude enough already Sierra popped a bubble of her gum right in his face.
"See you everybody!" She said stepping out the door

That girl is the craziest most out of line person who had ever stepped foot in this castle. Sophie thought angirly. Can't she just try to be a little dignified and to stop acting like an idiot!

Jeff tapped his toe impatiently. Somebody was a bit immature... She obviously hadn't morphed yet. He chuckled softly. Or maybe she just despised humans as much as he did. The classroom was humming with conversation, the beginning of gossip that would be around the school be the end of the period. Jeff leaned back in his chair and stretched his hands out behind him. His fingers brushed against the student behind him and he quickly dropped his hands. "Sorry," he said without turning around.

Sophie almost gasped when she saw who was in front of her and who had uttered sorry. It was Jeff! She had been too distracted by Sierra's show of stupidity to have noticed him, but now...
"It's fine." She murmered, turning red, even though he hadn't looked around.

Jeff threw a glance over his shoulder. It was Sophie. He should have known. He smiled to himself. Humans. "Glad to hear it," he said kindly.

Sophie had to sallow several times, trying to control her breathing, so it wouldn't sound like she was hypervenalating.

Jeff got that reaction a lot. Not another one he thought with disdain. He raised an eyebrow, turning in his seat to look at her. "Are you sure you're alright? You look a little pale." He reached a hand out and pressed it against her forehead. "And a bit warm."

Sophie gulped, she was in awe of his beauty, but that was no the only reason she felt respect and some fear when he looked at her; she could sense something not right about him. Like a beautiful horse that would not hesitate to trample you if you got in it's way.

"Come on, I'll take you to the nurse." He'd gotten this before too. He stood from his chair and moved around the desk to grasp her arm. He pulled her to her feet gently. Then he supported her as they made their way to the door. "She's ill, Proffesor," was all he had to say and the teacher let him take her out. He almost laughed. It was too easy. He helped her up the stairs of the dungeon. When they were alone in the hallway, he leaned her against the wall and turned to stand beside her.
"You alright now or do you need some fresh air?" He spoke quietly with his face close to hers.

She couldn't help herself; the temptation was too great. She turned to face him grasped his shoulders and pulled him towards her, just as his face was an inch from hers, she closed her eyes and kissed him, roughly.

That was something Jeff wasn't expecting. He wasn't quite sure what to do. A human had him pinned against the wall. A human. A human girl was kissing him. As carefully as he could, he placed his hands on her shoulders and pushed her away. He realized his mouth was hanging open in shock. Had that really just happened? He stared down at her with amazement. "We- uh-" What was he trying to say? He couldn't honestly remember.

The realization of what she'd just done dawned on her. She turned and ran; ran like she'd never run before.
She reached the entrace of her common room and stood breatheless. Vaguelly she realized that classes were still going on. But she couldn't go back, she could never show her face to Jeff agian.

Jeff stood bewildered for a moment. But as he saw her run off, he sprinted after her. Normally, he could keep up with her easily, but something was different. He felt... odd. This human girl. Why-? How-? He couldn't even form a logical question in his own head. He'd had his share of stalkers and addicts in the past, but nothing compared to this. He was intrigued by it. He stopped short at the edge of the hallway. He glanced around the corner and saw her standing there.

Sophie felt something wet run down her cheek. She lifted a hand and found that she was wipping tears from her cheek. She was crying. She started to cry even harded.
"Why did I do that?" she sobbed. "I'm so stupid!"
She burried her face in her hands, "Why, why...why?

Jeff couldn't believe he was walking towards her. "Don't worry about it," he heard himself saying. He thought it was him at least. He felt his mouth moving, but he wasn't making it do that. His hand reached out and rested on her shoulder. His feet brought him closer to her. "Forget and forgive," he said awkwardly, "though there really isn't anything to forgive." He finished on that lame note.

Sophie wiped her eyes hastily. Please don't let him see me crying. She thought, too late.
"I'm sorry," she choked out, "I just... I don't know what happened."

Jeff brushed her cheek with a gentle touch. He swept away a tear that she had missed. "Forget it," he said with a smile, "It was nothing."

"Ok," she said, quietly. Yet, even if it was ok, she still felt extremely akward around him. She looked down at ther floor and heard her fellow students getting out of class and going to dinner.
"I'd better go down to dinner." she said, still not looking at Jeff.
