Wands, A couple of questions Options

Well, this came about off another topic, but as it was so far off topic I decided to start a new one.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Wormtail used his own wand to kill himself yes? Sirius was framed for it yes? Couldn't they have used Prior Incantata (however it's spelt) on his wand and found out it wasn't him. I guess though, maybe they tried to say it was Sirius using Wormtails wand.

Also, people have asked how Wormtail would have kept his wand if he was a rat. But Sirius managed to keep his somehow, through azkaban and whilst he was a dog, but he didn't have it in POA did he? So perhaps this means he bought a new one, but surely someone would notice Sirius Black walking into Olivanders.

Also, we know the DE's broke out of Azkaban and had their wands in the OOTP ministry fight. If wands are destroyed for expolsion from Hogwarts, surely they'd destroy the wands of permanent residents of Azkaban.

In GoF, Sirius did mention that it was Barty Crouch who hustled the whole conviction process, with no trial. It was basically a witchhunt (forgive the play on words), and so no one examined what really happened that day very closely... So they probably didn't care who's wand it was, since 50 eyewitnesses identified Sirius... The question I've always had is how Wormtail cast the spell and managed to transform fast enough to escape the explosion. I'm guessing he'd already cut off his own finger, but why would he have done that before getting caught by Sirius? It's always been a bit fishy to me...

So, how does the unimpressive Peter Pettigrew manage to cut off the finger and then cast a spell before Sirius gets a word in edgewise? And then as the flames erupt around him, he changes to his rat form in the blink of an eye? Unless he planned to be "caught" all along, then it makes no sense to me... And also if the clothes on his back can be included in the animagus tranformation, why not the wand too? In theory, he should have had it in his hand when he transformed in the Shrieking Shack...

The other thing is that sure, Ollivander is the best wandmaker, but who is to say that Voldy doesn't have another wandmaker in his employ... Gregor? Maybe any wizard can make a wand, but some are just very much better at it...

People get new wands all the time... Ron and Neville both have different wands than they started with, so the fact that the DEs have wands shouldn't be too surprising. They probably take the wands from their victims too.
