This one is real quick.

In all the books, there's been some kind of important event on Halloween (the anniversary of the night a Godric's Hollow)...

In DH, I think it was the night Ron left them in the forest after overhearing Dean, Dirk, Griphook, Gornak and Ted... only they hadn't been keeping track of the days very well...

Any other ideas?

This reminds me of something, though it has nothing to do with Halloween really. I've noticed that most of the events take place on a Thursday. It could be totally irrelevant and maybe me looking at it too narrowly or it could even be Jo's favorite day for all I know! LOL! As for the Halloween thing, didn't Jo say it was her favorite holiday? Then that would explain it, I guess. Hey, who doesn't like Halloween?

I was talking to the Easter Bunny yesterday, he isn't too fond of Halloween, more candy given out on that day than his.

Were you really talking to the Easter Bunny? Wow! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) I've always wanted to meet him! Next time you see him could you ask him how he manages to hop over all the oceans? - I've always wondered about that..

LOL!

Anyway, yeah it would make sense for the events to take place on Halloween because it's a dark book.

I could see that, but then that happens very close to Bathilda's Secret which happens in December around Christmas. Could the raid at the ministry be the Halloween event, or the revolt in Hogwarts against Snape (resulting in the theft of the sword)?

I agree with you there actually. That's what I was thinking too. I was TRYING to make a timeline of Harry's life and I hated the 7th for one reason.....hard to make a time line for.

Well it would make sense. Halloween is all about magic just like the books.

Yea I really do want to know the timeline of the 7th book. I'm not sure exactly what happened around Halloween, because there aren't very many dates given at all.

Some Halloween related things...

The 7th book is Black and Orange!
The COS was opened on Halloween
Harry was made 4th triwizard champion

Im sure something happened on Halloween in this book, if only we had a timeline!

Harry's parents were killed on Halloween and Voldemort was reduced to his deathlike status.
Nearly Headless Nick was killed on Halloween, and had his deathday party the same day.

Halloween or All Hallows Eve, is an important day in the history of witches and such. It is the day when the seperation between the living and the dead is the closest.

The goblet made the selection on Halloween.

In book one, the three fight a troll, bonding them forever and showing the power they have as a group.
In book two, Nick has his deathday party during which the trio meet Moaning Myrtle. It's also on Halloween that the first attack occurs.
In book three, Sirius Black attacked the fat lady (Harry also got to talk to Lupin and saw Snape give Lupin the potion)
In book four, the goblet choose Harry as a contestant in the Tri(Quad)wizard tournament.
In book five, I don't know what happens on Halloween
In book six, I don't know what happens on Halloween
