Okay, so what does everybody think of the new trailer with Bella saying the V-word.
Now, don't look at me like that, baty and dijares, you know perfectly well I mean

Stephenie Meyer's writing is a lot more amateur. She has no such depth to her characters and they're too unrealistic. Her book The Host shows that. Of course, it's fantasy, but she isn't nearly as advanced or skilled as Jo, I think, regardless of intended age groups. Plus, she abandoned her ideals as a writer in the third and especially the fourth, which was rather disapointing.

What? No way. Stephenie Meyers is an amazing author. Unrealistic? Um.. The books are about vampires? Im pretty sure it's mean't to be fantasy!

Ok I've left my opinions of Twilight out of this for a long time but I think it's time I speak up. I happen to agree with Riddle me This. However, Loving Life, I think you'll find the comment about the characters being unrealistic isnt a comment in regards to the fact they are vampires. I think you'll find RMT's point (and correct me if I'm wrong) is that Bella and Edward both lack a depth and believability as characters, which leads to them being unrealistic. In my opinion they are extremely one dimensional. I think RMT had a valid point and laughing at her is hardly polite. EVERYONE is entitled to their opinions.



I'll definatly concur with those of you who have said Stephanie Myers falls flat when compared with JKR. I read all four Twilight books before commenting here, and whilst I find them to be entertaining books with a decent story behind them, the writing, in my view, is certainly poor.

In saying that I do see the appeal of her books (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) and I rather enjoyed them just as something to read (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I personally however, do not see a comparison between her and JKR.

These are just my opinions and to each his/her own (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
