Ok something i was wondering about Harry's experience at King's Cross. I think we can all agree that the crying "baby" was a part of Lord Voldemort's soul, as it would appear without any body. But which part? We know that the part of his sould inside of Harry was destroyed that night, so was that it at King's Cross? Or was it the part inside of Voldemort himself? It says that Voldemort himself appeared to have "died" as he killed harry. So it could have also been him. I myself would lean more toward that being Voldemort's remaining soul, since the other was just destroyed. But i'm not sure. Any ideas???

I don't think the part of Voldemort's sould inside of Harry had actually died yet. I was under the impression it was 'dying'. Not too sure though.

That is true. It could have just been voldemorts soul as it was dying. But why was it still alive the whole time they were at king's cross? The other horcruxes died out very quickly once destroyed

We don't necersarily know this. The item appeared to be destroyed (just as Harry would have appeared to be dead whilst his conscious was at King's Cross). But perhaps the part of the soul itself...the souls 'consciousness or spirt' was dying at "Kings Cross" everytime.

Rather than being Voldemort's soul, maybe the whimpering 'thing' at King Cross was Voldemort himself. One of the things that Harry said to him during the final battle, was about having remorse for the things he'd done before it was too late... that he'd seen what Voldemort would be otherwise...could it be that what Harry saw was what Voldemort himself would be reduced to because of his evil deeds? Just a thought.

Yes thats what i was saying. Since Voldemort has split his soul so many times, then his sould would be the equivalent of a baby in JKR's heaven (what we saw at kings cross) and he will suffer for as long as he is there. Your soul is represented without a body, making his far less than a normal human's

well the thing at kings cross was like what voldemort was before he had his body back... so that could be the form his soul takes.. without a body

a thought that just occurred to me:

assuming i'm right about the thing is voldys soul

then maybe the station situation is like.....one has to get on the train and 'go on' while the other goes back to reality.

but Harry gets the choice because His soul is whole and voldys is only partial so Harys soul has more 'power' in his body.

so harry chooses to go back which means the piece of voldys soul must 'get on the train'

if harry chose to 'go on' then voldys soul probably would of gone back and possibly returned to voldemort.

make sense?

yeah i'm pretty sure thats what kings cross was supposed to represent. But DD did say that Harry wasn't really dead, so i guess he did have a choice
