You know what .. i just watched the movie like 10 minutes ago and i thought it was great .. very creepy those dementors were .. i ldidn't know they could fly that high i thought they would just like hover a few inches .. creepy .. yet good .. .... oh the topic yes i forgot ehehehe .. ^_^

I just had this thought after i saw the movie .. MAYBE and thats what it is, a theory, MAYBE they did not mention the Quidditch World Cup because they are not going to show it in HP4 due to the length of the book .. it makes sense u know .. without that part of the movie things would still go smoothly .. like .. they could just have read about the dark mark in the daily prophet or somthing .. i dunno .. i just hope they DON'T not show the world cup because i really really want to see that done in the movie .. so .. what do u guys think ??

By the way i loved the quidditch scene .. it was great .. i just thought it was too short .. ^_^

A londer quidditch scene, perhaps with the tournament cup at the end. I think the ending was silly, no DD speech, and no train home!?

yeah the ending kinda ruined it a bit it could have been a bit longer i think - i dunno how long the film is but to me it seemed shorter than CoS - maybe its cos i was so into it...???

I really really hope the World Cup wouldn't be removed from the next movie ..

I think this movie would've been better (even though for me i think it's the best) if they showed and explained things more fully and like showed us movie goers scenes of the mauruders (spelling please i forgot ^_^) wandering at night and stuffs like that .. the ending was a bit .. weird .. i think that if you have not read the books .. ud be really very confused because from sirius being a creepy old man after like 10 minutes he was the good guy like .. weird .. but these are off topic so .. ehehehe ^_^ sorry ..

but Dan said w/ an interview with a girl from danradcliffe.com that the Quidditch World Cup was going to be brilliant in the movie?? and he also said that he had already read the script and that it was good!! so wouldn't he have said "nope, read the script, theres not world cup" ??

I think PoA was shorter then CoS but not by much.
just hope that GoF would have as many scenes from the original text as possible!

I don't think you could completely cut out the world cup because the whole dark mark stuff sets up the ending!

they will probably cut out the fun stuff like the leperchauns and veela and make the match uber-short

I am guessing Ludo Bagman is gone completely (the trolls and the betting between Fred and George)

Since the Dursley's have been cut from GoF, I am assuming the movie will start will Harry already being in the Burrow

im seem to remember readin in a interview or sumwher that the movie GoF will start at school to save timeb/c if u think about it sure the dark marks important enuf but say they add to either cut out the cup or a task the tasks are much more important. i honestly wouldnt care if the movie was 4 hours long if they had everythin but the director wouldnt. sorry off topic. anyway im probably rong about cutting out the cup but i dunno well jus have 2 wait i gess

I thiknk that they should go voeer teh book and see what is important in each chapter, tehn they see the MOST impotant ones over a group that way they actually have sum good stuff in the movies the third one was kindda dissapointing.... :beans: :beans: :beans:

hi all! i am back from florida, and now i can resume my normal rutine :D !

i have been reading the posts here and it would be a benefit to the audience, besides the fans, if they did include the world cup scenes. you have to have some sort of a setting and a begining that will show where the last movie was leading to and where it is starting so you can see how it flows all together. just like when you read any book, it gives you the setting and then takes off from there of how the story is going to go. especialy in a book series. if they don't include the world cup it is not going to explain or make any sense.
and yes, i do think that they will omit alot, but as long as they put in the dark mark and the part with winny and crouch jr. ( i think that how you spell the last name?) in the stands, everything else really does not matter. well they would also have to put in the scene of the deatheaters going after half breeds and the muggles! that is important!

don't worry, if the latest rumour is to be believed, they have the world cup in it.
go to the homepage 'harrypotterspag.com' and u will see that there is one news post about an anonymous fan who sent a letter to TLC(i think) saying that in his village they were shooting the scene of the portkey to the quidditch match on the mountain. and also there was recently news about a company receiving orders for certain props that are most definitely for a quiddich match. so i think we can rest assured that it will be there in the movie.go to the home-page for more news. :)

yeah, I also think the final is going to be really cool, but, I dunno, I heard about that somewhere, that they are dividing the GoF movie into two movies to fit everything there is in the book, I'm sorry if I'm wrong but I heard about that, that Mike Newell had that idea but I'm not sure if he is really doing that though
