J.K. Rowling said that two main characters die... what it they are Harry and Voldemort? I've always thought the best ending for the book would be that Harry killed Voldemort and then died himself. But of course, I don't really think that J.K. Rowling would kill Harry. Oh, but it would tie off the end nicely. Well, anyway, who do you think dies?

I think the 2 main characters that will die are Voldemort and Neville. Not sure why but I have thought of this for a while. I have a feeling Neville will accompany Harry and the others on the search for the horcruxes. He will learn of the prophecy and thinks maybe it is him who needs to die and steps between Harry and Voldemort to save Harry and gets struck by the avada kedavra curse. Voldemort will HAVE to die, otherwise there would have to be more books. I think Snape is the key to help Harry find and finish Voldemort. He will finally die and good will win out in the end. Harry will be a hero and Snape will finally be able to be who he really is.

If Harry does not Survive then Lupin and Hagrid.

I have to go against the trend and say I think Snape will die. Now before you shut-down my theory hear me out..
If Snape really is good *shudder* then Voldemort will most likely kill Snape in person. If Voldemort dies and Snape come into the open as being "good" one of the other death-eaters *stares in Bellatrix's direction* will likely kill him. Remember, Bellatrix and many others on Voldemort's side, think he's hiding something from Voldemort. Bellatrix would love the chance to prove her theory right and by killing Snape personally I think she'd see it as the ultimate act on behalf of Voldemort.

If Severus is bad *fingers crossed* the Order aren't going to just sit there and forgive him for killing Dumbledore. Expessically now, Snape will have aurors and the entire ministry looking for him, not to mention the order. And I don't think many people would show him mercy.

Yes, to me it looks like either way Snape will die *fingers crossed*.

I think Snape will switch sides at the last second to save Harry from Voldemort

And Hagrid, because he'd do anything to save Harry

Or maybe instead of dying Snape will kill Voldemort for killing his friend Regulas Black

If Snape switches sides at the last minute, one of Voldemorts death eaters would try to kill him. They won't just forgive Old Snapey for betraying them.

I think that Neville will die trying to protect Harry. Once again, Harry will be protected by love, thus thwarting LV again.
