This is the one and only thread for a RPG for the Inheritance trilogy.


RULES

Keep it clean. There will be no cursing and nothing sexual in nature whatsoever.

I do not want other RPGs started in this section. It's difficult enough to monitor things, so this will be the only one.

You may make up your own characters, or use ones from the Inheritance trilogy - and it would be okay to mix in HP/LOTR characters as well.

If any of the mods see that this is getting out of hand, it will be cosed without preamble.

Murtagh is in Galbatorixs castle with Thorn getting trained by Galbatorix whos going to take the role of Galbatorix?

I'll be Katrina... she's in the possesion of the King and to his dismay the third and final egg just hatched to her...

Well now theyre is a partner with me Katrina 3 riders against one now.

(Training... first day for Katrina and boy is she scared)

Katrina walked out into the field, trying to keep standing as her shaking legs threatened to give way. She tried to take several deep breaths, but they only came in short gasps. She was terrified of the king and now she would have to see him every day at least. Not to mention it was the first time sinse the dragon had hatched that she was seperated from him. As much as she hated to admit it, she was drawn to it and she felt somehow connected to it.
But now she dreaed what the training would consist of. She was not one with weapons and didn't ever plan to be. She saw a young man a year or two older than her already standing in the field.

Hm so the rider is someone from Eragons hometown. Takes out sword Geuuloth du knifr(Dull the knife) now prepare yourself Galbatorix will want to see what your made of.

I'll be eragon (gah! riddle me this i wanted Arya to have the third egg noooo)
Eragon is in Ellesmera waiting for Arya to convince the blacksmith to make a sword for him. He feels empty without Za'aroc at his side.

"I can't," Katrina stammered, "You'll kill me." Her eyes were wide and full of fear. She tried to bite back tears. This wasn't how she wanted to die. True she didn't enjoy living as a slave to Galbatorix, but being cut to ribbons didn't strike her fancy either. She shrunk back and muttered a nearly unaudible, "Please."

Arya came out of the blacksmith holding a long box Eragon hurridly stood russhing for the sword but Saphira was there first
i'm the dragon, and the lady i look first She said teasingly and eragon scowled chuckling Arya placed the sword on the ground for saphira and before Eragon could do anything th sword was covered in flames coming from Saphira's nose
"My sword!" Eragon said gaping

Oh and call your dragon.

"How do you know me?" Katrina asked. She'd never seen this boy in her life, yet she got the strange feeling that she had. "And what do you mean call him. Surely he can't hear me from here." She eyed his swoard. "No, I can't fight... I don't know how..."

I'll take Arya...

Eragon kneeled down on one knee to pick up the sword. As he did, he looked up at Arya. "Risa, Eragon," she said. "Your sword is named Arg Brisingr - Silver Fire. It was honed by Rhunon, and will never dull."

Eragon stood, and then took a few steps back, and admired the sword. It's hilt was silver and fit perfectly to his grip. The pommel held a shining blue sapphire that blinked and shone from the sun's rays. The guard had an intricate blue dragon with eyes made of blue lapis twisted around it. The blade was double-edged, and shone bright blue - as bright as Saphira's scales. Arg Brisingr definitely fit. He hefted it in his hand, and tossed to his other hand. The weight was light. He swung it around, and the blade whistled in the air. It felt a part of him already. He looked at Saphira. Her eyes were bright and matched the sword. It fits you, little one, she said. Yes, it does, more than I had ever hoped, he replied.

He turned to Arya. She held a scabbard out to him. It was as blue as the sapphire on the sword's pommel and had a bluish-silver dragon intricately wove around it. "This was made over the last four moons by our best seamstresses. The elves sung songs of strength and courage to keep you, Saphira, and Arg Brisingr strong."

She smiled at him, and he felt that her smile was as bright as the sword in his hand. "You honor me, as do all of the elves. I shall use it to bring harmony to Alagaesia once again."

She watched him from beneath her eyebrows, considering him. Each time she saw him, he resembled one of her own kind more and more. Her heart skipped once, and she looked away, fearing that he would know that her feelings were becoming involved. "Se onr sverdar sitja jvass, un arta esterni ono thelduin! (May your swords stay sharp and may good fortune rule over you)." She turned with a quick pivot, her long black hair swaying, and walked away.

Thorn i need you (I yell in my thoughts). A huge red dragon comes down from the sky and lands next to me. Dont fool around with me i know your dragon can here your thoughts so call your dragon Katrina 'Murtagh says.And to answer how i know you one way is through King Galbatorix he told me where you came from . Now call your dragon!After I say all of that i take Zaroc out of its sheath.

"He can hear my thoughts?" Katrina said to herself. She tried expanding her mind.
Come, she called out in her mind, but only a confused sensation reached her.
"I can't," she told the man, "I don't know what you're talking about. Please, believe me."

Eragon took to Saphira's back "I have missed the sword," He said
"Yes arg brisingr will serve us better than Misery we shall make shore of it." Saphira spoke as the took flight Eragon surveyed the forest, he saw a gil running wildly from an enemy who he could not yet see
"Saphira shall w use arg brisingr for the first time?" in response Saphira flew low to a clearing just before the girl and her purser, Eragon vaulted off Saphira leeting the elf girl run past screaming he looked up and saw a lone Kull Eragon drew his sword and it glamed in the sunlight, bbut he halted recognising it as the Kuul cheif who had helped him and the varned in the battle Egaon bared his throat as did the Kull
"Shadeslayer," The Kul grunted

"Name?" Katrina said, "I don't know just yet... I mean I was thinking about-" She blushed and turned away quickly. "What will the king do to me if I cannot fight?" she asked quietly.

Train you all day and all night how about Enziet as a name for yor dragon leed me to it we will postpone our fight.... for a little bit .Sheaths Zar'roc

"Actually," she began, suddenly trusting the boy, "I did have a name... it's-" Katrina paused and looked at him sheepishly. "I named him Edoc'sil." She blushed and turned away, knowing just how concieted that must sound, for the word meant, in the ancient language, unconquerable, but he was a dragon after all. Besides, it seemed to fit him... at least in her eyes it did.

Ah Unstopable a good name so you know the ancient language ok show me your dragon then i will bring Thorn.

Eragon was balancing on a stump doing the rigmar with oromis Saphira was once again flying with Gladear but Eragon couldnt conentrate he couldnt help the feeling that the third egg had hatched and it was helping Galabatorix finally he decided to tell Oromis
"I think it hatched," Was all Eragon needed to say for Oromis to nearly fall flat on his face

Come, Edoc'sil she called out in her mind, doubting it would actually work, but she felt something brush against her consiounce and she smiled. He actually was coming.

Hm is he comeing

"I don't know," she told him, "I called to him and I think he heard... Who are you exactly?"

"Are you sure?" ORomis asked looking at Eragon eyes wide
"Sir, i am, and i think it is not in ou favour."

Katrina loked cnfused and twisted her fingers. "The rider who betrayed the others to Galbatorix?" she asked quietly, "He had children?"
Her disbelief was strikingly apparent.

Galbatorix strolled towards the field where Murtagh and Katrina were supposed to be fighting. My smiled at his recent accomplishments but felt as though his strength was failing. "Im not evil, everyone else is". He strolled to the open feild to see Murtagh and Katrina talking. Enraged he strolled towards them. "Ahhh what this now" he said peering at the pair. "Arent you supposed to be training her?" Galbatorix said dissapointedly.

Eragon walked behind Oromis toward the hall, then stopped feeling somewhat blank he saw a girl with long flowing hair she was sitting infront of a familiar figure, eragons eldest brother and then a green dragon landed in the field. then the vision faded and eragon felt limp collapsing to his knees
"Are you okay Eragon?" Oromis asked
"no," was all eragon managed to whisper

King Galbatorix she has never used a sword beforee and i told her to show me her dragon Thorn should help her dragon she will need a sword.

"I'm sorry, Sir," Katrina said with a bow, but she fell silent and he held up her hand. She felt her face grow red and she instinctivly leaned closer to Murtagh: the only person she had seen in a long while who she felt she could trust.

Show me Edocsil and get a sword Katrina Galbatorix wants us to train. We will be trained by Galbatorix in magic at the same time.

"Katrina, a sword will be forged for you in time." Galbatorix sneered "As for you Murtagh you have seemed to have collected a sword of your own" said Galbatorix eyeing Zar'roc "As for now, you will use a replacement sword" Galbatorix finsihed, drawing a sword from under his cloak. "Now lets see some basic swordsmanship!" exclaimed Galbatorix

Oromis approached Eragon, trying to find out what wasmaking him so fearful but Saphira reached ERagon first
little one what is the matter? She asked softly
were doomed saphira you and i can not beat three dragons, eragon said hot tears welling in his eyes
three dragons? eragon there are only shruikan and thorn unless the third egg Saphira said nudging him spfty with her nose, eragon nodded
"Katrina," he muttered answering what e was sure would be the next question

Unsheaths Zar'roc

Eragon stood and walked into the hall "Queen Izlandi," HE said bowing as elven traditon told him to

Galbatorix retreats a little distance and watches Murtagh unsheath Zar'roc. The sides of my mouth twitch.

Eragon could do nothing not until the Varden and the elves learnt more of the knew dragon so he kicked into overtime with his training, he had to face vanir. who had always be arrogent with him and his abilities he wanted to test his sword. As the two walked onto the field vanir spoke
"you think you can beat me with your cheap army sword?" He sneered
"no but i can beat you with," He drew his sword from its sheath its blue surface gleaming in the sun "arg brisingir"

"But I-" she began, but slowly took the sword. Oh my gosh she thought to herself I'm going to die. She held her weapon in front of her and waited for Murtagh to attack. Don't murder me she begged in her mind.

Edoc'sil flew clumsily into the clearing, having heard Katrina's cries of distress. He crash landed into the ground. He still needed to work on that part. Katrina and Murtagh lowered their weapons and watched him. He stood only two feet high, and was an emerald green color. Though he was but a hatchling, he was abnormally large for his age, and showed signs of growing to a monstrous height. Hello Katrina, are you alright? Edoc'sil glared at Murtagh, baring his small, but sharp teeth.

It's not him. Katrina was deffensive, but suddenly blushed with embarrasment. He's only doing what he's told, she tried to reason. Edoc'sil rolled his little eyes. Stupid girl, he told her, Even one as young as I know that you must leave well enough alone.
Katrina grimaced. I would never- You know I love Roran and only him.
But you're never going to see him again, are you?

Geuloth du knifr(dull the knife)and dulls both swords ok ready yourself starts forward

What do I do, Edoc? she asked, frantically taking up her weapon, There is no chance in the world I can win this.
The goal is not to win, was the reply, but to prove yourself.
I don't have much to prove then, she muttered bitterly.
As Murtagh advanced on her with a raised sword, she suddenly saw a way in which she could block his blow. He brought his sword down and she parried the attack, leaping away. A suprised look was on his face and she couldn't help but smile. How did I do that? She didn't have time to ask herself or to get cocky. He came at her with another attack which she also blocked, this time jabbing him back. He quickly blocked it, though nearly missing. Katrina tried a counter-attack and delt a set of blows.

Hm good hits you on the side then knocks your sword out of your hand . Holds sword up to your throat and says dead and steps back and Thorn goes next to me .

Arg brisingir as like no sword eragon had ever used, he felt as though it were part of him and before long its pionty dulled tip was pressed against Vanir's chest "dead," HE whispered but then before he could even blink Vanirs fist had hit him hard in the face, eragon closed his own fist if vanir wanted a fight a severe beating he would get

Edoc'sil was impressed with how quickly Katrina was learing. Though she was obviously losing, she put up a good fight. At long last, Galbatorix stood and raised his hand as a signal to stop. He didn't say anything, but merely nodded to them, and turned, walking swiftly back to the castle. When he was out of sight, Katrina noticably relaxed and massaged her sword arm. Edoc waddled to her side.
You did well Katrina. How are you feeling?
I'll be alright.
"May I go?" Katrina directed the question at Murtagh.
"For now. You'll be expected here early tomorrow. I suggest you get some rest. Soak your arm in warm water; it won't be so stiff in the morning."
She nodded. So, Edoc. When did you learn to fly?
Edoc raised his head proudly. I'd hoped you would ask. I've been practicing for several days. Soon you'll be able to ride me.
Katrina looked down at her little dragon. I'm afraid if we try too soon I'd crush you. You're still so small. She had a teasing grin on her face.
Before too long it will be I who might crush you. Edoc laughed back.
