Jackson wasn't what anybody would call normal, though they couldn't pinpoint exactly why. He wasn't what you'd call an outsider, but he wasn't popular to be sure. He moved swiftly and gracefully as he moved to sit at the Ravenclaw table, intertwining his fingers as he sat, but not bothering to fill his plate with food. His eyes scanned the room, bright and livid as they swept over each of the students.

Melody was different, incredibly popular, incredibly talented but different. She had a knack for defence against the dark arts and when she wasn't practicing quidditch or doing homework she'd be doing something revolving around music. Which is why to see her in the great hall for meals is such a rare thing. today hpwever she was there sitting amongst the slytherins with grace, chatting and smiling a smile so white it looked like it was made of pearls.

Caylis walked up to Emmi.

"Ello."said Emmi in a cheerful voice.

Jackson cast them both a quick glance. The noticed immediatly, but he didn't look away. After a moment he yawned and dropped their gaze.

Melody cast her gaze over to Jackson, her eyes lingered on him as the conversation wet on her around her.

Jackson felt eyes on him, but he didn't pay them any notice. He'd been stared at before; it wasn't the first time. He looked up at the staff table, hoping they would be dismissed soon, but they gave no indication of ending the feast any time soon.

Emmi looked around the room she was sure she felt someone looking at them.

Jackson pulled his plate towards him and began pileing food on absentmindedly.

Melody shook er head as she heard someone saying her name
"riddle, OI riddle!"
"Yeah?" she asked snapping her head around

"What's going on?" asked Caylis.

"Go away gryffindor. and if you EVER use my nickname again i WILL tell my little snake frind here," With a flick of her wand a black snake appeared on the table hissing, she motioned to it with a nod of her head "to just bite your little mr fluffy ears why he sleeps. do you understand?"

"What!" said Caylis pointing at Melody. "Why can't we get along?"

Emmi gave her a look saying Gryffndors and Slytherins don't get along.

"Would anybody like to help out this girl with an explanation???" Asked Melody pointing at Caylis and laughing melodically. Tossing her hair she glared at Emmi "Why dont you Emmi, seeing as your obviously such good friends with gryffindor trash. You used to be cool. I mean look at her she's not even liked by the gryffindors."

"And your point is. You used to be cool that is until you turned in to someone who only cares about themselves."said Emmi in her strong French accent."Any way i am a Ravenclaw and Ravenclaws are friends with any one who wants to be friends."

Jackson turned, staring intently at each of them in turn as they spoke. His mouth was turned up in a strange half-smile that did not reach his eyes. He muttered something under his breath that they did not understand, but continued to stare, raising one eyebrow momentarily.

Emmi looked at Jackson and said "Is there something you wanted to say?If so you can say it to everyone."

He shook his head slowly with the same half-smile. "No," he replied. His voice was smooth, like honey or velvet, yet strangely tense, like an oncoming storm. "Or at least," he continued, not lapsing in his perfect articulation, "not that I should say."

Melody looked at Emmi with a crooked smile
"I thought you said you were over him emmi." Emmi looked hurt beyond compare for so long she had a crush on Jackson and Melody was the only she ever told, Melody felt kind of bad but Emmi deserved it. Melody was never selfish and everyone knew it. And kissing the girls on the cheeks and blowing a kiss to the boys, she smiled and left the room as gracefully as she had entered it.

Emmi got up and ran out of the room tears streaming down her face.

Jackson showed no reaction to the situation other than to shrug. He stood from the table, slinging his bag over his shoulder, and exited the great hall towards the Ravenclaw common room.

Melody flew through the air, her hair swept bak by the wind and the cold air on her face, she felt alive. She spun and dived and skyrocketed upwards thinking about well everything.

Jackson wasn't inclined to begin any of his newly assigned homework, so he merely dropped his bag off in his dorm and returned to the halls. He had no destination in mind, but let his feat carry him where they willed.

After flying Melody got changed wrote something on the board in the captains office and skipped out of the rooms. She turned a corner and slammed straight into nobody other than jackson
"oww. Oh my god, i'm sooooo sorry." She rushed

Calis walked into the Great Hall. She picked up a little bunny on the table. Caylis petted the bunny. "i think her name should be Kitty," said Caylis. She turned to Emmi. "Wanna pet her?"

"No problem," Jackson said, shoving his hands inside his pockets. Although he was looking at her, it was as though he was seeing through her, not really taking in the image of her.

"Hey Jackson, are you alright?" She asked pushing herself off the ground

Jackson extended at hand to her. "I'm fine," he said, "How about you?"

Amber was all done with the assignments she'd gotten that day. When it came to homework Amber didn't doddle; she was to scared that the teachers would get mad at her if she didn't do homework right after class. Amber was a girl that did not break the rules. She decided to take a stroll in the halls since she was done. She turned the corner and nearly ran into a black haired boy speaking with a girl, who also had black hair.
"I'm so sorry," she mummbled not looking at them. Both of them were Slytherins and Slytherins were not kind to little, shy, innocent Gryfindors like Amber.

"I'm fine," lied Riddle through grited teeth, her ankle hurt like she had shatered everybone within it. she pushed th pain aside and smiled taking his hand to help herself stand. "I'm Riddle, by the way."

"Yah, are... are you sure your ok?" Amber asked still concerned that these Slytherins were going to turn nasty any minute now.

Jackson looked at Amber for a moment, a nameless expression in his face. Then he turned back to her. "Riddle?" he asked, a disbeliving tone marring his voice.

"Yes, would you like me to spell it for you?" She teased and tracing the letters of her name in the sky they appeared in deep purple letters. "I'll explain later," She said casting her gaze at amber breifly.

Caylis went into her dorm. When she came out, she was dressed in a lovely pink gown and had her beautiful bronze hair in a bun like a princess. She stood right next to Melody. Waiting for her parents to bring her their gift to her, which was a necklace that could protect you from anything, even Avada Kedavra, Caylis seemed to sparkle and shimmer in the light, her pet rabbit in her arms.

"That's very nice," Jackson said flatly. He glanced back at Amber. "Who are you exactly?"

"Go away gryffindor." Melody said cutting off her conversation with Jackson and turning to the girl in pink,

Jackson shrugged. "No, it's alright. I've got to leave anyways."

Amber looked at the dark haired boy. He was very good looking. 'No'. She thought, 'He'll only distract you'.
"I'm nobody and I have to go," She muttered, casting a fearful glance in "Riddle's" direction, "Sorry to have been a bother."
She scooted around them, rushing down the hall until they were out of sight. Whew! That was close. The last time she'd run into two Slytherins she'd ended up in the Hospital Wing.

Caylis held out her hand. "I am waiting for my parents," she said.

Jackson couldn't believe it. He was actually falling her. Why? She had said her self 'I'm nobody' and he knew she was right. But it was exactly that lack that made her stand out. It was unique... I've never met a nobody before he thought with a smile. But his feet didn't seem to agree with his new curiousity. He was in front of the Ravenclaw common room even before he knew it. He couldn't complain of course. Who knows what would have happened if he revealed what he really was. Jackson stepped through the portrait hole, brushing away the remainder of his thoughts.

"Whatever, I'm going." Riddle said she had a very bad feeling the kind she always got before her other side took over.

There was something alluring about the Riddle, and it had nothing to do with her name. There was something different about her and he couldn't quite place it. Whether it was a good thing or a bad thing, Jackson couldn't tell. All he knew was that he wanted to find out what it was that set her apart from others.

Amber sat in the Grfyndor common room staring blankly at her charms extra credit; she couldn't concentrate, her mind was on... well, someone it shouldn't be on. What was happening to her? She was not thinking about work, but about that boy!

"Are you waiting for you parents, also?"she asked curiously.
Kathrynia smiled to herself. She waited for Caylis to look at her beautiful emerald green halter.

"Yes, I am," said Caylis. "They are going to bring me a gift. I hope it's a kitten!"
