Welcome to WWW's Trivia!!! This is the one and only time (I am sure) that a trivia game on this site will be worth House Points. That's right, House Points! Ordinarily, we don't have House Points here at HPP, but since we're getting near the end of our wonderful adventure together, I figured we'd better get something worth House Points out. This is the way it'll work:

I will post the questions for an undetermined time limit. Some questions may be up for days, others as little as a couple minutes. I will not say how long the time limit is. Answers must come via PM with which House you are playing for stated. I hate to do this, but in order for every House to have a stab at it, it must be this way. Otherwise the answer will be given away in a post and with the higher amount of Gryffindor and Slytherin players versus the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff players, I'd prefer, as I said, for every House to have an opportunity.

I will be cleaning out my PM Inbox regularly to ensure that it does not fill up too quickly. If it does fill up, I'm sorry, but that will pretty much mean that the time limit is up for those questions.

The questions are strictly out of the books and the answers are buried in those books somewhere, including the six HP novels as well as FB&WTFT and QTTA. I will post more than one question at a time, but it is not required that you attempt every question. When the questions are closed, I will post the questions again with their answers and where they may be found as well as the new questions and the order in which the Houses are currently ranking.

Now we'll talk points. Each correctly answered question is worth 10 points to your House. Incorrect answers will not count against you. But, once all the points that can possibly be earned for one House have been earned, further answers from people of the same House will not earn that particular House any additional points. For bonus points, when answering your question, if you state which book and chapter the answer is found in and that is correct you will receive another 10 points. In the cases of FB&WTFT and QTTA, there will not be an opportunity to earn bonus points.

Ah man... Now I understand why I don't get enough points... I have to write the page and book-name too! Think I didn't read the rules carefully enough first time. But now I have, and will add it to the answers if I remember.

Actually, Nina, you don't have to write the page number for bonus points, cause with all the different versions out there, I have no idea of figuring out if that's correct. But if you do want the bonus points, all you have to give is the book name and the chapter in which you found the answer. That is a lot easier to verify than page numbers since all the books should pretty much have the same information in every chapter. The only ones you can't earn bonus points on are FB and QTTA. I just give those when I post the answers so everyone can see where I got my information from.

I'll let something out of the bag now to ease minds; yes, I know there have been a lot of FB and GOF questions and I apologize for that, but I had an extraordinarily high amount of them as well as OOTP ones. I've had all these questions (minus HBP) sitting next to me for almost three years, there were over 1,000 of them when I went through them for this game, I have just over 400 that I am going to use here. So if you're getting sick of GOF and FB questions, bear with me, it'll get better as we go. (Edit: You know what? I'll start working my list from the bottom up instead, that way we'll get a bit more varied questions and more points possible. )
