Heart of Gold
Now that the Half Blood Prince is out, we can begin speculating on the last 2 movies, and what the plotlines may be.

I mentioned it in another post, that we can put to rest some of the speculation of what story lines may be followed by looking at the cast for DH (parts 1 and 2). Look here http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0926084/fullcredits (for part 1)

It lists actors/actresses playing the roles of (to name a few) a teenage Dumbledore, Bill Weasley, Fleur, Umbridge, Reg Cattermore, Dobby, Kreacher, Griphook, and even Mundungus.

That does not conclusively tell us everything, but it does give us something to speculate on:

1) We will see a Dumbledore flashback. What exactly and how? No telling, but it may involve Grindelwald
2) The Fleur/Bill plotline is not dead.
3) It is likely that the ministry will be perpetrated, as it was the only scene in the book in which Umbridge (and Cattermore) appeared.
4) With the house elves present, their role will be examined, but to what extent remains to be seen.
5) Griphook is interesting, as if we go down this road, it allows us to speculate where the movies will be divided.
6) Mundungus played 2 main roles in the book. First he was a major part of what happened when Harry left the Dursleys (more on that in a minute). Second, he was the means by which Harry finds the location of the locket (see numbers (2) and (3) above.
7) The absence of any of the 3 Dursleys suggests that their role in bidding Harry goodbye is a dead plot line (no pun intended).

Looking at the DH2 cast suggests other things entirely, but I will let others investigate and speculate on that.

Ok, I've done the research and seen the movies and this is my best guess at how it will play out:
Since this is last time we will see them, the Dursleys will appear for one last time and we will see the movie explanation of why Harry had to live with them.
The seven potters scene is said to be filmed so we will see that battle. ( Remeber some major things happen: George's ear/ Remus finally gets mad, ect...)
No Burrows means eveything will be moved to Shell cottage(i.e. wedding, attack, and return)
We will see the three on the run. (Remember this is Harry Potter's story, so all scenes must have him in them).
We will see Grimmuland Place; the ministry;the split;Godic Hollow;the reunion;the capture and entering Malfoy Manner :
End of movie 7 part I
Part II
Malfoy Manner; the escape to Shell Cottage; the burial and the plan; The robbery; The HogsHead; The Battle of Hogwarts
The epilogue will be the end.
End of story. See ya next November!!!

According to the casting I have seen, there hasn't been any mention of the Dursleys.

As far as the split goes I post this in another topic but thought it would be useful here.

“Well I'm actually.... yes... I'm in the next one”, reveals the British actor. "And I'm also in the one at the end – I have a very big scene in that. I think they might be shooting two of them back-to-back – hard to know though, what with this writer's strike and all. They're shooting the penultimate one at the moment – which I have a brief appearance in it. I should be doing that soon."
This was from Timothy Spall who plays Peter. Now, what I would like to know is whether he means they will be filming HBP and Deathly Hallows back-to-back OR if he's talking about filming possibly two Deathly Hallows movies back-to-back.

Hmm if we base our guessing upon what Timothy Spall had to say (which seems like a pretty good place to start) the scene in the basement/celler (at the Malfoy Manor) MUST be in the second one. I'm assuming that must be his 'very big scene' because obviously he dies during that. Now I'm going to take a wild guess and say the 'brief appearance' is the opening scene at the Malfoy Manor.

Dobby is at Malfoy Manor, and if that's the split (which is obvious), and if you are correct about Dobby beening in 1&2, then they are closing 1 at the escape and opening 2 at the arrival at the Shell Cottage. I also just read online that the Dursleys are in the last one. And there was another place where they interviewed the guy who plays Dudley and he says he's been shooting the last one.
As for the split I think they would be better to leave it at the capture than at the escape but that's just my opinon.

Filming for the wedding takes place beginning tomorrow so that's a plus.

Seven Potters are very much in it. Some excellent action scenes with cars going through barriers and spinning on their ends were filmed last week for that.

It appears that the split is going to happen on a cliff hanger...so we're thinking it's going to be after the trio are caught and taken to Malfoy Manor. This scene (Malfoy Manor) was filmed just after the premiere.

Good to hear from you girl. Hope all is well. So it appears that the split is at the capture and starts 2 at the Manor?

I'm rereading DH again, and though I'm only through the first couple of chapters I'm already wondering what they will leave in.

One will they cut the first chapter out with the DE's meeting at Lucius' home?

Two, will they show the death of Hedwig?

Three will they celebrate Harry's coming of age?

And if they are cutting for the second movie when they are in the Malfoy Manor will it be left off with Hermione being tortured? I cried with that!

I'm sure I'll have more.

I think they keep this in based on Timothy Spall's quote about having a tiny part in the first one and a large part in the second one....

You know, I'm not so worry about what they leave out as I am about how they play what they leave in. This last go round makes me wonder what interpertation we will see. Will they at least give us final tale of Harry Potter, or another installment of the Adventures of Harry Potter ?

Oh I'll accept what they leave out, but changing things, depending what they are, could tick me off.

What I'd like to see them keep....

First chapter
Hedwig getting killed
When Hermione is tortured
Dobby's death

More as I read... Since I have restless leg I can't read for very long, and definitely not in the evenings. So stay tuned. Oh and I won't be reading when in England.

Making a list of mine own. Agree with yours: Have a safe and good trip. As for the restless leg, alternate evelating your legs, use a musle roller once every two hours during the day. Back on topic: I still hope they do figure out how to explain Harry and the Durselys, or the final reason for Voldermort's inabillity to "kill" Harry will make no sense.
