Inevitably, he talks about the Harry Potter films and how he conferred with Chris Columbus (Chamber of Secrets director) on the details of Lucius Malfoy's appearance. A Lapland Christmas For Jason Isaacs
|
PR-inside.com posted a brief release about Jason Isaacs’ intention to meet his family in Lapland for Christmas. The Harry Potter actor who is known for his role as “Lucius Malfoy” “fears he spends too much time away from his young children while he is filming…”
"I get home when my kids are asleep and I leave before they wake up, so I'm trying to buy my way back into their affection.”
That is why he wants to make sure the family has a great Christmas:
"I'm desperate to take my kids to Lapland to meet Santa. That's a trip you can do from London. I've got friends who have taken their kids there and they're now grown up, like 10 or 11, and they realise there's no Tooth Fairy, but they still believe in Santa - because they met him.
So I'm desperate to take my kids before the disbelief sets in. We have Santa, the Tooth Fairy and The Switch Witch who comes on Halloween and switches out all the candy by the bed for a gift; the Tooth Fairy's cousin."
I hope they have a magical time.

Isaacs on Being Almost Israeli, Good, and Potter
|
Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films) recently attended the Jerusalem Jewish Film Festival at the Jerusalem Cinematheque to present his latest film, Good, in which he has the role of Maurice, a Jew when the Nazis take over Germany. While there, he spoke with The Jerusalem Post.
During the interview, he mentions how he feels almost Israeli. His parents and brothers made aliya years ago and live in Herzliya (although his brothers have moved back and forth between here and England). And like many Israelis, he defends Israel passionately in public and criticizes it passionately in private. "Spiritually, I feel Israeli," he said.
He was also asked if his Lucius character was good for Jews. Read more to see what he had to say about this, about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows being split into two films, and more. |
