JK Rowling’s official website has been updated with a birthday wish to Hermione Granger. Hermione, a muggle-born, is an extremely talented witch in the Harry Potter series. She is very bookish and intelligent and often helped her friends, Harry and Ron Weasley, get out of some very tight spots. At the end of the seventh book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, it is revealed that she and Ron get married and have two children: daughter Rose Weasley and son Hugo Weasley. She was born September 19, 1979, which makes today her 31st birthday.

Rupert Grint, who portrays Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter films, turns 22 today! Rupert was in London on Monday promoting the UK release of his newest project, Cherrybomb, on DVD.

J.K. Rowlng’s official website has been updated to let us know that it’s Draco Malfoy’s birthday today. Draco (portrayed by Tom Felton in the films), a Slytherin, was one of Harry’s enemies in school. However, in the end he slightly redeemed himself when he stated he couldn’t quite recognize Harry (after Hermione performed the Engorgio Charm on him) when Harry was brought to Malfoy Manor by snatchers.
